DEPT. TOWN OF $ODTHOL§ Dear Mr. Verity, I have inspected the construction of the common wall between the Orient Post Office and the adjacent tenant spaces. The wall has been constructed in accordance with plans submitted to the Building Department and which I have recently reviewed. To the best of my knowledge I certify that the partition wall has been completed with 5/8" fire code sheetrock over existing partition framing to the underside of the ceiling. I have been told that the 22 GA. Sheet Metal covering as noted on the plans is a Post Office requirement for security and not a requirement of the New York State Building Code.
