ways in the Town of Southold,
Oounty of Suffolk and State of :
New York.
Application having been duly made for the laying
out of certain Town Highways in the Town of $outheld,
Suffolk County, New York extending from the lands of
Clarence C. Fleet and Henry L. Fleet through the l~ude of
the Estate of Arthur N. Tasker to the westerly line of
Washington Avenue a~ it now exists and which said proposed
highway is more particularly described in said applic~tlon
~and dedic'tion and release from the executors of the Est~.te
of Arthur N. Tasker, owner of ~ll lands taken or ~ffected
thereby having been given ~nd the release of said lands
from the lien of a certain mortgage owned by one Caroline
~. ~Q~ having been obtained;
NOW, TNEREFORE, I, the Town Superintendent of
Highways of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Mew York,
do hereby determine snd order that a Town highway sh~ll be
~nd the s~e hereby is laid out in said Town as follows:-
The s~id h~hway shsll ~mprise all that certain
plot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying snd being Morth
of the Village of Greenport, in the Town of Southold, County
of Suffolk and State of New York and bounded en~ described
as follows:-
Beginning at a concrete monument at the westerly
end of the northerly line of ~a~hington Avenue as now laid
out; thence across the westerly end of Washington Avenue ~e
Rods (h9.5 feet)

monument at the westerly end of the southerly line of said
Washington Avenue as now laid out; thence on the direct
extension westerly of said southerly line of Washington

land now or formerly of Arthur M. Tasker to the westerly
line thereof; thence N. 13o53'20" 7. 51.02 feet; thence
N. 87°36'50" E. 205 feet to the point or place of beginning.
Which proposed highways will pass throughI adjacent
to or will affect the lands of the Estate of Arthur M.
Tasker which is the owner of sll of the l~nds taken or
affected thereby ~ud the executors'of which have consented
to the laying out of said highways and have executed and
delivered.a dedication and release therefor.
The said highways shall not be less than Three
in width.

Clarence C. Fleet dated April ~;419k2 and acknowledged
April~ 1942, and the dedication and release of Frederick
H. Tasker and Ruth W. Tasker, executors under the Last Will
and Testament of Arthur M. Tasker, deceased dated and
acknowledged April 23, 19h2 and the release of said lands
from the lien of a certain mortgage thereon duly executed an
acknowledged by Carbline ~1~. ~e~ , mortgagee, dedicati~
~and releasing the necessary lands for proposed town highways
which said highways shall comprise all that certain plot,
piece or parcel of land situs, re, lying snd being North of th
Village of Greenport, in the Town of Southold, County of
Suffolk and State of New York and bounded and deecribed as
follows:
Beginning at a concrete monument at the westerly
end of the northerly line of Washington Avenue as now laid
out; thence ~cross the westerly end of ~ashington Avenue as
now laid out, S. &COl'30" E. 50.02 feet to a concrete
monument at the westerly end of the southerly line of said

Which proposed highways will pass through, adJacen~

to the laying out of said highways and have executed snd
delivered a dedication and release therefore.
RESOLVED, that consent be and. the same hereby is
given that the Town Superintendent of Highways of the Town
of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, make an order laying
out the aforesaid town highways as bounded and described ~ :
in the said dedication and release, all in accordance with
the provisions of Section 171 of the Highway Law of the Std.1
of New York.

TO THE TO'mT SUPERINTENDENT OF HIGHWAYS OF THE
TOWN OF $OUTHOLD, IN THE COUNTY OF SUFFOLE:
The undersigned, an inhabitant of the Town of ~
Southold ~md liable to be assessed for highway taxes
therein, hereby applies to you to lay out a highway or
highways in said Town extending from the lands of Clarence
Ci Fleet and Henry L. Fleet on the Southerly side of the
North Road, north of the Village of Greenport, Suffolk °cunt
New York through the lands of the Estate of Arthur M. Tasker
to the Westerly line of Washington Avenue as it now exists
and which said highway shall comprise all that certain
plot, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being North
of the Village of Gr~enport, in the Town of Southold, County
of Suffolk and State of New York and hounded and described
as follows:-
Beginning at a concrete monument at the westerly
end of the northerly line of Washington Avenue as now laid
out; thence across the westerly end of Washington Avenue as
now laid out, S. 4o01'30'' E. 50.02 feet to a concrete
monument at the westerly end of the southerly line of said
Washington Avenue as now laid out; thence on the direct
extension westerly of said southerly line of Washington

of her said mortgage and in consideration of the payment
