The pier foundation was built very similar to the approved plans with minor changes to the beam and joist systen~ The piers locations are installed as per approved plans. We have not determined the depth of the piers. Additional work has been completed to upgrade the as-built foundation to equate the design of the original plans. Cross-bracing (2"x 8" ACQ w/z.max coated ¥2" diameter bolts, washers and nuts) have been added in both north to south and east to west directions, deck bracing added at north and south decks and joist to beam connectors will be installed at 32" on center (min.). The existing north roof over the lower deck area will be bolted to the 6"x 6" posts (were only nailed) and the connection to the house has been upgraded with lag bolts and joist hangers added. With this additional work complete, I certify, to the best of my knowledge, the pier system meets or exceeds the design as approved on the original building permit.
