RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes the
purchase of a new 1993 four-wheel drive Ford Bronco from Suffolk County Contract
~VB-03119~ held by Sayville Ford, Bohemia, New York, deleting the Warn Winch
option, and adding an AM/FM Radio, at a total cost of ~16,652.00.

This resolution was declared duly ADOPTED.
25.-Moved by Supervisor Harris, seconded by Councilwoman Hussie, it was
RESOLVED that the Town Baord of the Town of Bouthold hereby accepts dedication
of a oarcel of open space in the TooBee Realty Minor Subdivision, located on the
westerly side of Lighthouse Road, Southold, along the easement 15 ft. in width
by 311.94 feet in length from Lighthouse Road to the dedicated parcel; all in
accordance with the approval of the Town Attorney.
SUPERVISOR HARRIS: This is a parcel of wetlands, freshwater wetlands, n a
Iowl¥ing area, which would be in the best interest for the town to obtain. We
are gratefully accepting this as a complete dedication, as a piece of property that
we consider to be sensitive.

26.-Moved by Supervisor Harris, seconded by Councilwoman Hussie, it was
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby grants permissmn
to Country Time Shops Inc., Mattltuck, New York, to use the following ToWn roads
for their run-ride bicycle race on Sunday,- June 27, ]993, beginning at 7:90 A.M.
and ending at approximately ]1:00 A.M., provided they file with the Town Clerk
a One Million Dollar Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the .Town of Southold
as an additignal insured: Elijah's Lane, Oregon Road, Bridge Lane, Mill Road,
Grand Avenue, Wickham Avenue, Tuthill Lane.

RESOLVED ~:hat the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby sets 4:30 P.M.,
Tuesday, June 15, 1993, Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York,
as time and place for a public hearln9 for the purpose of considering a proposed
. contract with the Village of Greenport for the furnishing of water for fire protection
purposes by said Village to the Fire Protection District established in the Town
and known as "East-West Greenport Fire Protection District, Town of Southold,
New York", for a term of five years, and for such service the Town shaJ pay
the Village Lhe following sums: 1993 - $110.00 per hydrant; 1994 - $118.00 per
hydrant; 1995 - $126.0(3 per hydrant; 1996 - $131.00 per hydrant; 1997 - s137.00
per hydrant.

Councilman Wickham, Councilman Penny, Justice Edwards, Supervisor Harris.

SUPERVISOR HARRIS: I'd like to congratulate Councilwoman Hussie for her
deliberations, and negotiations on this contract. She had a number of meeting~,
and also, like to thank Assistant Town Attorney Matt Kiernan, who assisted her
in those negotiations. Thank you, Alice.
28.-Moved by Justice Edwards, seconded by Supervisor Harris, it was
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby orders thai
elected officials who have been assigned $outhold Town Code Books shall retain
ownership of those books after leaving public office, however, the cost of the
updates shall be i~he responsibility of the holders of the Codes after they are no
longer in public office.

10.-Moved by Councilman Wickham, seconded by Justice Edwards, it was
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby accepts the bid
of Advanced Equipment Inc,, in the amount of $13,000.01, for one (I) Vermeer
Stump Grinder Model 6309 for the Highway Department, a in accordance with the
bid specifications.

RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby accepts, with
regret, the resignation of Mar,/' K. Brewer, part-time Clerk Typist for the Recrea-
tion Department, effective October 31, 1993.

RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes and
directs the Town Clerk to advertise for resumes for a part time Clerk Typist for
[he Recreation Department, 17-1/2 hours per week, at a salary of $6.50 per hour.

directs the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for one I[I) Used Catch Basin Cleaner
1980 Vactor, Model 810, or equal, for the Superintendent of Highways.

RESOLVED t, hat the Town Board of the Town of 5outhold hereby sets 4:38 P.M.,
Tuesda,/, December 7, 1993, Southold Town Hall, ~lain Road, Southold, New York,
as time and olace [or a public hearing for the purpose of considering a proposed
amendment and extension of the contract with the Village of Greenport for fire
protection and emergency service to be furnished by said Village to the Fire Pro-
tection District established in said Town and known as "East-West Greenport Fire
Protection District, Town of Southold, New York"; said contract includes payment
to the Village of 46% of the annual cost of maintaining the Firemen's Service Award
Program, as well as the following annual payments: 1994 - $142,000.00; 1995 -
$158,000.00; 1996 - ~I57,500.00; 1997 - $165,375.00; 1998 - s173,644.00.
COUNCILMAN PENNY: I might add that this is in the evenz that the Village affirms
the vote, that will be..there's going to be a Service Award Program that's put up
to the public, and we will agree that we will accept the 46% orovided that it is
voted on within the Village of Greenport.

15.-Moved by Justice Edwards, seconded by Councilman Wickham, it was
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of $outhold hereby accepts the proposal
of Hoppy's Cleaners, Inc., Greenport, for cleaning the uniforms of the members
of the $outhold Town Police Department for l~he period from January 1, 1994
through December 31, 1994, all in accordance with their proDosa dated November
I, 1993; ane be it
FURTHER RESOLVED that Supervisor Scott L. Harris be and he hereby is
authorized and directed to execute an agreement between the Town and Hoppy's
Cleaners, nc. for the aforesaid services.
