with the following present: Supervisor Martocchia; Councilmen Valentine
and Rich; Justices Suter and Demarest; Town Attorney Tasker; Superinten-

Hospital Association to maintain the full services o~ a hospital.

man at the pleasure of the Town Board, and

Mrs. Anne Fried read the following letter ~o the Town Board:
Gentlemen; The Southold Unit of the League of Women Voters again wishes
to urge early action by the To~n~ Board and the Tow~ Planning Board in
aece~ng the proposed Southold Town Development Plan. ~
We b~f~eve tha~ acceptance of this Plan a~ over-all policy must precede
furthe~ pub~i& debate and subsequen~ decisions regarding specific aspects
of the Plan. Sincerely, Mrs. Kenneth Tiedke, Chairman, Southold Unit
League of Women Voters.
Mrs. Jam~s Gellagher of Mattituck, appeared before the Board requesting
informatio~ on taking over the roads kno~ as Donn~ Drive and Theresa
Drive, owned by Frank Zaleski as Towl% roads. The Board stated that ~r.
Zal~ski had no~ met with highway specifications and had not dedicated
the roads to the Town.
Mr. Gallagh~r also inquired about an electric fence nex~ to his property
which the B~ard will investigate.
Mrs,~W~imey requested that ~he Board examine the boat ramp and parking
at Hew Suffolk.
Richard Lark, Esq., represehting Reeves Bro~., ~ttituck, requeste~
information in relation to roads~ in Subdivision known as Benn~tts Pond
being taken over by the Town.

RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the
Town o~$outhold, Suffolk County, ~ew York, at the Supe~visor's Office,
16 ~ou~h Street, Greenporu, New York, on the 24th day of November, ~1970 ,
at~4:00 O'clock P.M. of said day for the purpose of considering a connracu
wit~ hhe Village of Greenport, Suffolk County, New York, for fire protect-
ion t6~e furbished by said Villa~ to the Fi~e Protection DiStrict est-
ablished in said Tow~ and known as "East-West Greenport Fire Protection
~i~tri~. Town of Southold, N.Y." upon the following general terms, uo wit:-
(a) The Fire Department of said Village shall be subjec~ to call for
attendance upon any fire occurring in said District with a mimimum of
three pi~ces of apparanus and suitable men and equipment when notified
by alarm or by telephone call from any person within said District.
(b) When notified by~ silent alarm or alarm other' than a general
alarm, sai~ Department sh~ll respond with such men and apparatus as shall
be deemed suitable by the Chief of said Department.
(c) 'The contract shall be for a te~m of five years commencing on
January l, 1971.
(d) For such service the Village of Greenport shall receive the follow-
ing sd~ annually, to wit: 1971-$11,100; I972-$12,200~ 1973-$13,300; 1974-
$13,85~ !~75-$14,300.
(e) Such other incidental terms as may be necessary or
in connection with such contract.
