Dear Mr. Anderson:
The Board of Trustees has inspected the above referenced property as per your request
for a proposed docking facility.
The Board found that there was probably space in that location for a dock. A proposed
dock would have to go through the full review process. There may not be enough water
depth in that area for a float. There have been some areas where a small fixed catwalk has
been permitted, but there is not enough water for a floating dock to attach to the dock.
The upland area, landward of the retaining wall, contains the wetland plant Spartina
patens and other valuable wetland buffer species, including Baccharis and Eastern Red
Cedar. These plants are protected and the Board would not allow the cutting, mowing, or
disturbance of any kind to this buffer area to the creek. There is a strip along the road that
is mowed by the Town where you would be able to park you car.
