o--. ABANDONMENT OF LOT SUBDIVISION

WHEREAS , the undersigned, GLORIA P. HORNWOOD,
residing at 70 Cherry Lane , Syosset , New York, is the owner
of the tract of land hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS , more than five years have elapsed since
cothe said tract was subdivided into lots , said subdivision
known as "Soundview Acres at Orient" , filed in the Office of
the Suffolk County Clerk on September 7 , 1976 as File No.
6438, Abstract No. 8132 in Liber 14, page 17, and
WHEREAS , the proposed streets have not been opened,
,� accepted or used by the public and are not necessary for the
use of any owner or occupant of any part of said tract ,
NOW, THEREFORE , the said GLORIA P. HORNWOOD hereby
disclaims and abandons the said tract of land described as
follows:
ALL that certain plot, piece or parcel of land,
situate, lying and being in the hamlet of Orient, Town of
Southold, County of Suffolk and State of New York, described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the easterly' line of Old
Main Road 410.72 feet northerly and northeasterly line of
State Road, along said easterly line from the intersection of
the easterly line of the Old Main Road; from said point of
beginning running along said easterly line of Old Main Road,
North 8 degrees , 31 ' 40" West 204, 50 feet;
THENCE along the northerly line of said Old Main
Road North 64 degrees 32' 50" West 125 .08 feet; to land of
Rose;
THENCE along said land of Rose North 5 degrees 44'
`.� 10" West 1172. 83 feet to monument and land of Morris;

thence along said land of Morris , Two courses:
( 1 ) South 890 10 ' 00" East 302 . 0 feet to a monument:
thence ( 2) North 70 41 ' 30" West 399 feet, more or
less , to ordinary high water mark of Long Island Sound;
thence easterly along said high water mark, 63 feet,
more or less , to land of Orient Realty Corp. ;
thence along said land of Orient Realty Corp; South 130
12' 10" 1848. 98 feet;
thence along land of the party of the first part,
South 870 22' 20" West 473. 29 feet to the point or place of
BEGINNING.
THEREFORE, the above described lands shall be regarded
as a single tract.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF , the said GLORIA P. HORNWOOD has
caused her signature to be hereunto affixed this day of
September, 1982.

The undersigned, BOARD OF ASSESSORS OF THE TOWN Of
SOUTHOLD, do hereby approve and consent to the abandonment of
those lots described in the Certificate of Abandonment to
which this consent is annexed and made a part thereof.
