HomeMy WebLinkAboutSterling Manor CERTIFICATE OF ABANDONMENT THOMAS SPURGE and ANDREW WITLIN residing at 63 New Mill Road, Smithtown, NY 11787, for the purpose of abandoning and canceling the subdivision of the certain tract of land owned by them and hereinafter described, pursuant to Subdivision 3 of Section 335 of the Real Property Law of the State of New York, does hereby certify: 1. A certain map of subdividing such tract of land and other land situate in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, into lots, plots, block, or sites, entitled and named as "Map of Sterling Manor" situate at Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and was filed in Suffolk County Clerk's Office on June 18, 1873 as Map No. 53. 2. More then eleven years have elapsed since the filing of said map. 3. The track of land owned by the undersigned, the subdivision of which is to be abandoned and canceled, is situate in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York has an area equivalent to that of two or more contiguous lots, and is known and described as Lot 24 on said Map No. 53; and further described in Schedule A. 4. Said THOMAS SPURGE and ANDREW WITLIN are the owners of the said tract of land described in Paragraph "3" hereof, and the subdivision of the tract IS HEREBY ABANDONED AND CANCELED: and, effective with the due approval and recording hereof, shall no longer exist. 5. Endorsed hereon is the approval by the assessor of the Town of Southold. 6. Submitted herewith is an abstract of the title of the said tract of land to be abandoned covering a period of at least twenty years last past, and a certificate of the County Treasurer of Suffolk County to the effect that there are no unpaid tax liens against the said lands, to be approved by the County Clerk of Suffolk County at the time of recording hereof IN WITNESS WHEREOF, this certificate is made and executed at Southold, Suffolk County, New York this 1-1"6- day of 2005.
