of
Abandonment
The undersigned, RAYMOND L. JACOBS, Superinlendent of Highways of
Ihe Town of Southold, Suffolk County. New York, hereby certifies:
1. That the highway in said Town of Southold known as Ryder Landing
Road. has not been traveled on or used as a highway for six and more years
pnor to the date of this Certificate, and said highway is hereby declared
abandoned, pursuant to Section 205 of lhe Highway Law, as a highway and a
pul~lic righl of way. Said abandoned highway is described as follows, to wit:
BEGINNING at a point on lhe northerly side of Sound View Road
distant 47,65 feet easterly as measured along the north side of
Sound View Road, from the corner formed by the intersection of
the northerly side of Sound View Road with the westerly side of
Ryder Farm Lanel
RUNNING THENCE North 1 degree 38 minutes 20 seconds West
260,78 feet to a point;
THENCE North 67 degrees 44 minutes 16 seconds East for 101,7.5
feet to a point',
THENCE South 1 degree 42 minutes 30 seconds East for 267',13 feet
to a point;
THENCE Soulh 71 degrees 12 minutes 40 seconds West 100,00 feet
along the ncxtherly aide of Sound View Roa~ to the point or piece of
BEGINNING.
2 That the above abandon;ed highway is shown on a certain map entitled
'Survey of Property et Orient Point, Town of Soulhold. Suffolk Courtly, New
York", dated December 30, 1997, prepared by Peconic Surveyors, P.C., a copy
of which is annexed hereto.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Town Superintendent of Highway has
