The meeting began at 7:25 p.m. with four LPC members present. Adoption of Meeting Minutes: ?? Acceptance of meeting minutes from July 29, 2008, August 26, 2008 and September 16, 2008 The members entered into EXECUTIVE SESSION. Applications and Inquiries: ?? C.W. FRANCIS & SON, INC. PROPERTY (Orient Reserve) SCTM #: 1000-19-1-14.7 Zoned: R-80/R-200 Location: 32400 Rt 25, Orient CPF: Yes Total Acreage: 26.5 acres (GIS 26.8 acres) Subdividable: Yes PDR application Update re: meeting with Melissa Spiro had with landowner and letter from landowner. [executive session – offer subject of meeting/letter] Melissa gave status update of project and reviewed landowner’s letter response to her meeting with landowner and his legal counsel. MOTION made by Eric Keil, but not seconded. Further discussion ensued but due to Commmittee’s lack of a quorum in middle of motion discussion, this matter was tabled until next LPC meeting for continued discussion when more LPC members are present. Due to lack of quorum, no action could be taken on this project at this time. Project tabled until next LPC meeting. ?? PEKUNKA PROPERTY SCTM #: 1000-53-1-6.1 Zoned: LI Location: 475 Pipes Neck Rd, Greenport CPF: Yes Total Acreage: 11.61 acres Subdividable: Yes Fwet: 7.63 acr Open Space Application Discussed additional information from landowner. No discussion on this project due to lack of quorum. Project tabled until next LPC meeting. ?? VENETIS PROPERTY SCTM #: 1000-59-3-26.1 Zoned: A-C Location: 42495 Rt 48, Southold CPF: Yes Total Acreage: 17.9 acres (GIS 17.34 acres) Subdividable: Yes FWet: 1.68 acres Reviewed new application. Melissa and Melanie did field inspection but due to overgrowth, were unable to properly inspect property. It was suggested that all LPC members attempt to do their own field inspection and make their recommendations on this application at next LPC meeting. ?? ACKERMANN PROPERTY SCTM #: 1000-108-3-7 Zoned: A-C Location: 13936 CR 48, Cutchogue F/Wet: 0.6 Total Acreage: 57.60 acres (GIS 56.15 acres) M/Wet: 0 CPF: Yes Subdividable: Yes Update [executive session if potential offer discussed]. Through recent investigation, it was found that the property is not listed for sale. No further discussion on this project due to lack of quorum. Project tabled until next LPC meeting. ?? SEPENOSKI PROPERTY (Old North Road) SCTM #: 1000-54-3-24.1 Zoned: A-C Location: 1655 Old North Rd, Southold CPF: Yes Total Acreage: 53.9 acres (GIS 53.83 acres) Subdividable: Yes Reviewed Environmental Assessment Form. John Sepenoski absented himself from this discussion due to family connection. A field inspection to examine the storage of old farm vehicles on this property has been tentatively scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., if members of the Sepenoski family members are able to be in attendance. LPC needs to determine if old vehicles are part of the farm operation and whether or not to allow vehicles to remain within the easement area. Melanie to confirm field inspection with LPC members once date/time had been confirmed with the landowners. General Items: ?? MELISSA SPIRO’S CONFIDENTIAL STATUS REPORT [executive session] ?? Suffolk County Farmland Committee Meeting (9/23/08) – update by Melissa Spiro ?? Laurel Lake Preserve Stewardship (per John Sepenoski) John Sepenoski read a list of his concerns regarding the current management of Laurel Lake Preserve that is not in keeping with the Stewardship Management Plan for Laurel Lake Preserve as adopted by the Southold Town Board. His concerns for Laurel Lake Preserve and other Town-owned open space properties will be voiced at a meeting regard land management and stewardship on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, with Supervisor Russell and others. Next Regular Meeting: ?? The next regular meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., in the Town Hall Conference Room. Adjournment: ??
