I have reviewed the UNIRAC Free Standing PV Mounting Frame and their calculations based on
the following:
I. The ASCE7- Code for wind and snow loads using 20 psf ground snow loads and 130mph
wind loads in Exposure "D".
II. "Manual of Steel Construction: Load Resistance Factor Design," 3rd Ed, American
Institute of Steel Construction, Chicago, IL, 2001.
III. "Aluminum Design Manual: Specifications and Guidelines for Aluminum Structures":,
The Aluminum Association, Washington D.C., 2000.
IV. Mechanical Properties of UNIRAC extruded rails and related components based on data

Please note: Bracing for seismic conditions does not consider wind or snow actions in either the east or west direction. Due to
the small surface area of the arrays on either the east or west side, wind actions are not considered as part of this design. It is
also assumed that design wind and / or snow conditions will not be occuring at the same time that a seismic event may occur.
