a. This appbeatio?jdUST be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector with 3
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets or
areas, and waterways.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Pem6t to the applicant. Such a permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any pu~ose what so ever until the Building Inspector
issues a Certificate of Occupancy.
f. Every building permit shall expire if the work authorized has not commenced within 12 months after the date of
issuance or has not been completed within 18 months from such date. If no zoning amendments or other regulations affecting the
property have been enacted in the interim, the Building Inspector may authorize, in writing, the extension of the permit for an
addition six months. Thereafter, a new permit shall be required.

We certify that we have analyzed the Roof Framing Systems of the residence for the above
referenced premises for wind, snow and dead loads in accordance with the New York State Building
Code (Chapter 16 Structural Design) and with ASCE 7 (Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and
other Structures).
The design loads used in our analysis were 45 pounds per square foot (psf) ground snow load and
120 mph wind loads and pre-engineered building dead loads. Based on our analysis, the Roof
Structural System of the premises, consisting of 2" by 6" hip roof rafters or 2" by 10" roof rafters ~
16" spacing, are adequate to support the proposed Solar Panel System and the NY State mandated
design loads. The Solar Panel System must be attached to the existing rafters .(which support the
roof shingles and sheathing) by sealed 3/8" diameter by 2" long lag bolts, which shall transfer the
solar panel system wind and dead load components directly to the existing timber roof frame of the
residence and to the interior or exterior load bearing walls and eventually to the foundation and
foundation anchoring system.
