All footings shall bear on undisturbed soil having a ~inimum bearing capacity of 3000 lbs per square foot. All exterior footings shall be a minimum of 4'-0" b~low grade unless otherwise noted on the plans. 2. All concrete work, details, and construction methods shall conform with the pr0vtsi~ns of the American Concrete Institute "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete" and local building codes. If codes conflict, local code shall take precedence. 3. Concrete compressive strength shall be 3500 psi at 28 days. Three (3) test cylinders shall be taken for each day's pour and for each 50 yards of concrete . One shall be tested at 7 days and two at 28 days. Forward results to the Engineer. 4-. ' AIL reinforcing steel shall conform to the current requirements of A.S.T.M. A615-60 except welded steel wire mesh - which shall meet A.S.T,M. A-185. 5. Concrete slab to be reinforced with 6x6 - 6/6 WWM, plus reinforcing bar as noted on the drawings. Concrete slabs on grade to be installed on top of a 20 mil. polyethelene film. 6. All concrete surfaces to have medium broom finish. Chamfer all exposed edges of concrete one inch (1") unless otherwise noted. Containment pad surfaces to be finished with two coats of Epolon, two part polyamide paint. 7. Existing soil in the slab area shall be removed to a depth of 2' and replaced with well compacted gravel or crushed rock, which has a minimum bearing capacity of 2000 lbs/ft. 8. Concrete cover on all reinforcement shall be as follows, unless otherwise noted: - concrete placed against soil - 3" - exposed formed surfaces - 2 1\2" - floor slabs -- 2" from top surfaces !~.
