THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION NO. 2008-661 WAS
ADOPTED AT THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD ON
JULY 1, 2008:
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby ratifies and approves the
Memorandum of Agreement dated June 3 2008 between the Town of Southold and the
CSEA, ratified by the CSEA on June 26, 2008, concerning the parties' Collective Bargaining
Agreement.

AGREEMENT made this 3'h day of June 2008,by and between the Town of Southold
("Town')and the CSEA, Inc., Local 1000,AFSCME,AFL-CIO, Southold Unit 8785 ("CSEA').
WHEREAS,the Town and the CSEA are parties to a collective bargaining agreement covering
the period of January 1, 2008 through December 31,2010; and
WHEREAS,the parties have determined that it is in their mutual best interests to modify
certain specified salary schedules set forth in the collective bargaining agreement.
NOW,THEREFORE,it is hereby agreed by and between the parties as follows:
1. Notwithstanding any inconsistent contract provision or practice to the contrary,
effective upon the complete ratification and approval of this Agreement,salary schedules for the
Highway Labor Crew Leader and Parks Maintenance Crew Leader titles shall be created and the Data
Processing Equipment Operator and Records Management Assistant salary schedules set forth in the
parties' Collective Bargaining Agreement shall be revised as follows:

3. Nothing contained herein shall obligate either party to enter into any similar agreements
in the future.
4. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Town and the CSEA
regarding its subject matter. No other promises have been made. This Agreement may not be
modified except by a written agreement between the parties.
5. This Agreement represents the totality of the parties' obligation,if any,to negotiate
over their decision,and/or impact of their decision,to modify the salaries as set forth herein.
6. All aspects and provisions of this Agreement are subject to ratification by the CSEA
membership and ratification and approval by the Town Board at its next regularly scheduled meeting
following notification from CSEA that its membership has fully and completely ratified the terms of
this Agreement. In the event that either party does not approve and/or ratify this Agreement as a
whole,then this Agreement shall become null and void and no adverse inference shall be drawn
against either party by virtue of it having entered into the Agreement.
