SCHEDULE A - DESCRIPTION
ALL that certain plot, piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and being at Southold, County of Suffolk and State
of New York, being a part of that portion of Fishers Island belonging to the grantor [which portion is
hereinafter called the "Park"], lying easterly of the following line, viz:
A -
BEGINNING at the southeasterly corner of land now or formerly of The United States, known as the Fort H.G.
Wright Military Reservation, Mount Prospect Tract, on the shore of Block Island Sound or the Atlantic Ocean
[as said tract was constituted prior to the extension thereof by the acquisition of additional lands in
condemnation proceedings instituted In 1942], and Running Thence northerly.followlng the east boundary of
said tract of land now or formerly of the United States [as same was constituted prior to such-extension
thereof], to the southerly line of East End Road [sometimes called Oriental Avenue] and which point is the
northeasterlY corner of said tract of land now or formerly of The United States [as same was constituted prior
to such e~tenslon thereof]: .
THENCE crossing the East End Road and following the same course as the last to the shore of West Harbor or
Fishers Island Sound;
Said lot or parcel of land being bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a monument set on the southeasterly side of a private road, said point being 265.53 feet south
of a point which is 1,058.98 feet east of a monument marking the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey .
Triangulation Station "Chocomount 2", [which said "Chocomount2" monument is located on the summit onhe
highest hili on Fishers Island, New York, about 2 V. miles west of the eastern end of Fishers Island and lies
south 79 degrees 29 minutes 46 seconds east of North Dumpling Light In Fishers Island Sound] and;
RUNN1NG THENCE the following five [5] (:ourses and distances along lands heretofore conveyed to The Nature
Conservancy :
1. south 04 degrees 53 minutes 12 seconds west, 523.07 feet to a point;
2. south 15 degrees 39 minutes 00 seconds west, 104.78 feet;
3. north 36 degrees 39 minutes 40 seconds west, 203.57 feet to a point;
4. north 51 degrees 27 minutes 10 seconds west, 135.01 feet to a monument;
5. north lB degrees 53 minutes 48 seconds east, 429.91 feet to the southerly line or side of a 45 foot wide
private road;
RUNNING THENCE on the arc of a curve to the left, whose radius is 456.61 feet and the direction of whose
radius at that point is. north 09 degrees 08 minutes 50 seconds west, along said road line, 274.55 feet to the
monument set at the point or place of BEGINNING.
