Re: Engineer Statement for Domenici Residence, 330 Old Field Ct., Mattituck, NY - Solar Photovoltaic Installation I have verified the adequacy and structural integrity of the existing porch roof rafters for mounting ofKyocera solar panels and their installation will satisfY the structural roof framing design-loading requirements of the New York State Residential Code -2007 For the installation of the Unirac SunFrame solar mounting, the mounting rails will be anchored to the rafters with L-feet supports located on the center of the rafters and will be securely fastened to the rafters with lag screws that have been designed for wind speed criteria of 120 mph Exp. C and snow ground criteria of20 psf. Wind loads will exceed seismic loads. Other climate and goo design criteria are not applicable to this solar installation. The design will meet or exceed Table R301.6 from the NYS Residential Code. The solar system and the mounting assemblies will comply with the applicable sections of the New York State Residential Code-Chapter 23 "Solar Systems" and loading requirements of roof-mounted collectors and roof penetrations.
