The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during their regular meeting held on June 25, 1987 regarding the above
matter.
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Trustees WAIVER the need of a Wetland Permit
for the project proposed on the site plan for Ronald Balcom by Chandler, Palmer
& King dated May 18, 1987 submitted by the Land Use Company for a pool, decking,
and fence on Fishers Island.

Please be advised that Steve Malinowski from F.I. called today regarding
the request by the Land Use Company for a Waiver of the Wetland Ordinance for
the construction of a pool, decking and fence. Steve inspected the site and
advised that as far as he felt that this project would not have an environmental
impact. The project is within the jurisdiction of the Town Trustees.

Please be advised that this matter has been referred to Dr. Steve Malinowski,
Bay Constable on Fishers Island. Please note that this proposal as proposed
is 75' from the wetlands, however during construction some of the fill, equipment
may come seaward of that 75'. Perhaps if it is determined by Dr. Malinowski
that the proposal is accurate and it is 75' from the wetlands /water then you
can restrict the following:
1. Care shall be taken so as to preclude the entry of any construction material
into the wetlands or water.
2. Immediately following construction, all areas of exposed soil shall be
suitably vegetated with indigenous plantings.
3. Hay bails are to be placed around the perimeter of the area.
