is requested for the reason that petitioner desires to put kitchen and bathroom in wing
of house for use as separate apartment.

REASON FOR APPEAL
Continued
1. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce UNDUE HARDSHIP because
the wing intended to be utilized as a separate apartment was apparently
added for this purpose and used for summer boarders. It was the petitioners
intention at the time he purchased the preroises in April of 1957 to so
convert to a two family dwelling. " ,
2. The hardship created is UNIQUE and is not shared by all properties alike in the immediate
vicinity of this property and in this use district because the area is basically a farming
area and there are only three residences in the immediate vicinity, all of
which are on large plots.
3. The Variance would observe the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE. THE
CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because the closest residence is over 100 feet from
petitioners house and within a quarter of a mile t~ere is a Town Beach, a
rooming house, a couple of duplexes, and several bungalows that are rented
,for summer occupancy.
