1. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce UNDUE HARDSHIP becouS€: This
is a lot that was held in single and seperate ownership prior to the adoption of the
ordinance, having a frontage of 50 feet and depth of 90 ft. There is a side yard of
11 ft on the opposite side of the dwelling, and due to' the trees and lay of the house
this proposed atfached .'ga:r'l3.'ge is the most practicar 'locatron .for same. The ordinance
only requires a total side yard of 7~-ft on one side and 5 ft on the other for lots
of this size and held .in single ownership prior to adopti?n of the ordinance.
It.would be an undue hardship to deny this variance where practical difficulties
such as here are encountered.
2. The hardship created is UNIQUE and is not shored by 011 properties olike in the immediote
vicinity of thi~ property ond in this use district because: This property is located on the sls of
an access road next to the last parcel on the road, some distance from the main
street servicing this area.
3. The Vorionce would ODserv€ the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE
CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT becouse: The area is composed of small lots vlhich are
used mostly for summer occupancy, many of which have garages or carports in a
similar situation. The use of the lot is residential and would.in no way change or harm
the charicter of the neighborhood.

INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application must be complet.ely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted in duplicate to the Building
Inspector.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this location.
c. The work cov,ered by this application may not be com me need before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such
permit shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the progress of the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificat.e af Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
