DESCRIPTION OF RELATIONSHIP Form TS I Submitted this Signature Print Name __.day of 200 Dear Trustees: April 14, 2008 Hello! My husband and I recently purchased a home in Southold at 750 Clearview Avenue. It is a dream come true to have a weekend/summer/retirement home. We closed in October and have spent the winter working in the house We recently came outside with the intention of doing some yard work. On April 13 a police officer came to our home to give us a summons as a neighbor had called to say we were in violation. We were not aware of the 100 ft. fi.om the wetlands rule and thought we were just cleaning up our backyard. The house had been empty for over 2 years and it appeared that there may have been some dumping in the patch of woods on our property. There is no water behind us, only woods. We did not overshoot our property line at any time. What we did was remove a dead/falling tree and dead tree parts fi.om the ground as well as some vine stuffthat was choking the other trees. We also had some leaves remaining fi.om a fall dean-up that had been left on the back of the lawn killing the grass. We were pushing that back, but still on our property. On both sides of us the neighbors yard/grass extends back beyond my leaf line. I thought mulching some leaves was OK. We spent many hours doing this tedious work and never meant to harm anything. That's about the extent of it. We are more than happy to correct anything that may need correcting and apologize for our error. I would be happy to meet you in my hackyard to review the situation. We have a May 2 court date. We also have a very large tree that I have contacted someone to prune but do not know if I am allowed to proceed with that. It is on out lawn but may be within 100 ft. We look forward to working with you regarding this matter. I have enclosed a photo for your review. Thank you for your time, Laura and George Blume ,.axcZd.'7tS-Cll.> $L APR I 7 2008 tL.
