Alcoholic Beverage Control~ pertaining/the enforcement of Elcoholic
beaverage control law by local agencies or state agencies~ was dis-
cussed. The Supervisor was instructed to advise the State Liquo~
Authority that the Town of Southold-desires to continue with local en-
forcement.
Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Clark:
Whereas~ the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District have
heretofore and on or about the 6th day of No~ember~ 1948~ ent~ed
into a bareboat charter with the Rhode Island Navigation Company for
the chartering of the vessel MoV. Yankee for the period No~ember
8~ 19~8 to.November ll, 1958~ both dates incluSive, and
Whereas~ the Town Board of the Town of Southold finds that in view
of exigencies of the situation~ an emergency existed requiring
immediateaction by said commissioners~
NOW, T~EREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED, that the acts of said Commissioners
in entering into said contract be and the same hereby is approved.

with the following present; Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry;
Tuthill; Albertson and Clark; Town Supt. of Highways Price~ Town
Attorney Terry Terry and Town Clerk Booth~
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved
-as read. ·
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Terry:
Resolved: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board
will be held at the office Of the Supervisor at Greenport on Fri~
day~ January 7~ 1949~ at 1:30 P.M.

aware of the existence of any duck farms in the Town of Southold, and

action be taken to prevent the establishment of duck farms within
the said Town of Southold, and
WHEKEAS~ after due deliberation and consideration of the pos-
sibilitieS'of irreparable damage that might arise from the estab-
lishment of'uncontrolled and unregulated duck farms within said
Town of SO~thold~ the Town Board desires that the necessary leg-
islation b!e enactedto permit the said Town Board te prohibit,
contr~!andregulate the establishment and. operation of duck farms
