The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to ex~mine claims
against the Town~ ConCluding the audit'~work at 2:15 P.M~
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approve~

Mr. Kaplan'of the Dawn Estates, Inc. appsared before the~Board
presenting a~map of "CaptainKid Estates" at Mattituck, for sdb-'
division purposes. ·

Southold To~nand arrange to have bug scallops t~ansferred'ifrom~-
Mil! Creek to the wa~ers throughout Southold Town.
Be It Further Resolved: That.the~amount to be expended fo~ S~uCh
purpose shall~not exceed $300.

notice of public he~ring on the preliminary budEet and as there
were no interested pe~s~ns having appeared before .the Bo~rd.t~

Resolved: Tha't this Town Board does hereby adopt such p~eliminary~
budget as originally compiled, as the annual budget of this Town

The hearing on the matter of purchasing machinery for the
Town Highway Dept. was duly opened at 2;30 P.M. no person
appeared before the Board to speak against the items mentioned
in the legal notice published in the To~ newspapers, the hear-
ing was closed at 3 P.M.
M~ved by Justice Terry; seconded-by Justice Tuthill:
Whereas, the Town Superintendent of Highways did on the 3rd
d~yof November, 19~8, duly recommends the purchase of certain
machinery pursuant to the provisions of Sec. 1~2 of the. High,way
Law, and a notice of such recommendation has been duly Dublished~
as provided in such action,
N0w~ .~erefore Be It Resolved that pursuant to Sec. 1~2 of the
Hi,way Law the Town Superintendent of Highways is hereby author-
iZ'ed to purchase from Long Island Produce & Fertilizer ~O. with
th~ approval of the County Superintendent of Highways one Interr
national Dump Truck for a total ~rice o£ $~7%O.00 delivered at
Peeonic, N~Y. The Town Superint~nde~t of Highways TM is h~reby
authorized, subject to the approval of the Count~ Superintendent
of~ Highways, to surrender to the above named vendor one Internat,
ional Dump Truck as part payment for the above machinery to be pur-
chased. The terms of payment will be as follows: Trade-in al-
lowance $750., check dra%~ on Machinery F%uud $5,000. Total $5~7~0.

Resolved: That pursuant to Sec. 1~2 of the Hihgway Law-,.the Tnwn-
Superintendent of Highways is hereby authorized to purchase from the
Walter MOtor Truck Co. with the approval of the County Supt. of
HiEhways one Walter Snow Fighter for a total price of $16~682.
delivered at Peconic~ N.Y.

County~S~pt. of HighWays: one Forde Feed Loader for a total price
of$10~240, delivered at Pe~onic~ N.Y.

one ~ardner~D~nVer ~ortable Air Compressor: for a total price of
$2~865. delivered at Peconic~ N.Y.

The Southold Towno~oa~d~ met at ,the office of Supervisor Norman
E. Klipp at'Greenport, on Tuesday~ November 16~ 1948. The meet-
ing Was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present:
Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, Albertson and Clark~ Town
Superintendent of Highways Prices Town Attorney Terry and Town
Clerk Booth.
The m±nutes of the previous meeting were read and were duly ap-
proved as read.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson:
Resolved: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board
be held at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport, on Tues.~

Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Terry:
Resolved: That irving M. Rogers of Greenport; Clarence Bergen
of Mattituck~ George H. Stelzer of Southold and David Edwards of
Fishers islands be and hereby are appointed dog enumerators
for the Town of Southold~for the year 1949.

Resolved: That the Supervisor's report of transplanting escallops
be accepted and placed on file.

Resolved: That the Town Board does hereby approve the map of Goose
N~eck Estates, for sub-diwision purposes~ situate at Bay View~
ToWn of Southold.

Resolved: That the Supervisor, ~NOrman E. Klipp, be and~hereby~
is authorized to transfer Three Thousand Dollars ($~½000.) fro~
Fishers ISland Ferry District Account #2 to Fishers Island Ferry
