The meeting' was called to brder at 2:30~P.M. with the following present: Super- visor Klipp~ Justices Terry~ Tuthill~ Albertson and Clark; Town Superintendent of Highways Price~ To~m Attorney Terry and .Town Clerk Booth. Previous~to the opening-p-of the~meet~ng~2h~s~BearS~wen$ to~Ma~tituck to view a proposed road and a road to be discontinued on-the Daw~'~Etates at Mattitu'ck~ also a proposed road. on the Lidico property at Southold. The matter was laid on the table for future consideration. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved as read. M~ved by Justice Tuthi!l~ segnded by Justice Terry: Resolved: That the street lighting contract between the Town of Southold and the Long Island Lighting Co. for Mattituck L~gh~ir~ District #1 be and hereby is ~pproved by the Town Board~ said cont~ae~ is for one .year and expires on Sept. 2~ 1949. Unanimously adopted. The annual highway estimate and budget wa~ presented by Super- intendent of High%~ys Price for approval. Moved by Jugtice Terry; seconded by Justice Clark: Resolved: That the annual~HSgl~ray Estimate and budget for the year 1949 be and the same is hereby approved by the Town Board. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Alberts~n: Resolved: That this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve as the preliminary budget of this Town fOr the fiscal year begin- ning on the 1st day of January~ 1949~ the itemized statement of the estimated revenues and expenditures hereto attached andma~e a part off,his resolution~ and be it Further Resolved: That such preliminary budget shall b$ filed in'the office of the Town Clerk where it shall be available at all reasonable hours~ and be it Further Re'sol~ed: That this Board shall meet at 2 o'clock $'.M. on the 3rd day of November~ 1948~ for the purpose of holding a public hearing upon such preliminary budget~ and be it Further ~emoIve~: That the Town Clerk give notice of such Public Hearing in~the~manner provided in Section ll3 of the To,ca Law.
