The Southo!d Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E,
K~ipp~ on July 2Oth2 1958. The meeting was called to 'order ~at
1.30 P.M. by Supervisor Norman Eo Klipp~ with the following~
Present: Supervisor Klipp,. Justices Terry, Tut~ill,_ Clark~ and
Albertson, Supt. of Highways Price and Town Attorney~ erry~ .
The minutes~of ithe last meeting were read and duly.approvea~as

Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by ~ustice '~ '
Resolved: That the next regular me~ting of thi~ board be held at
the office of the Supervisor on Friday, A~gust 6th, 19~8~a.t
1:30 P.M.
It was decided that the beach committee was to contact Mr.
Alfred J. Ungerland to f~rther discuss the purchase of the Nassau
Point CausewaymprOper~y.
Supervisor Norman+E. Klipp appointed Justices Terry and Albertson
to act as a committee On taxation and finance.
Moved, by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be i~structed to,make
whatever resolution is necessary at the meeting of the Board of
Supervisors to hawe certain lands now ow~ned by t~e Coumty a~d
located at Orient Point turned over 'to the Tows'of Southold.

Resolved. That the Town Beard hereby determines that an additional
eo~Stable is necessary in the Town of Southold amd be it
~Further Resolved: That the Tow~ Board hereby consents to the
transfer of Theodore B. Howard from the Police Departmen$ ef
the Village of Greenport to the Southold Tow~ Police Force as
Oonstable-Patrelman and he is hereby appointed to said position,
effectiv? Aug. 1st, 1958, upon condition that the Village Board
of the Vmllage of Greenport consents to such transfer~ Salary~
te be $7~00 per diem, payabtei~ regular monthly installments.
Said employe~!shall hold such apPointive office or position
the pleasure '~f the Town Board unless otherwise provided by. flaw.

Letter received from Mattituck Fire Commissioners and pla~ed on
file.
Matters concerning the Fishers Island Ferry District such as m~il
contracts, assets and liabilities, service of an auditor, expenses
ef commissioners, and insurance were discussed~
