The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp$ Justices Terry; Tuthill; Albertson and Clark; To~ Attorney Terry ; Town Superintendent of Highways Price and Town Clerk Booth.. TheBoard sat as a Committee on audit to examine claims against the Town? concluding the audit work at 2:15 P.M. The minutes of. the prevmous meeting were read and duly approved as read. Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved: That General Bills in the amount of $2~282.O7~ Lighting District Bills in the amount of $1,O~0.~O; Non-reimbursable Wel- fare Bills in the amount of $1%2.46 and Fishers Island Ferry'Dis- trict Bills~ Account No. 2~ in the amo~ut of $10~813.~6 be and th~~ same are hereby ordered paid. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: ~ Resolved: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport~ on Tuesday~ October 2~, 1949 at 1:30 P.M. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved: That the Police Report for the month of September be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Terry: RESOLVED~ that this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve as the the preliminary budget of this Town for the fiscal year beEin- ning on the 1st day of Ja~ary~ 19~0~ the itemized statement of estimated revenues and e~penditures hereto attached and made a part of this resolution~ and be it FURTHER RESOLVED~ that such preliminary budget shall be filed in the office of the Town ~lerk where it shall be available for inspection by any interested person at all reasonable hours~ and be it FURTHER RESOLVED~ That this Board Shall meet at 2 o'clock P.M. on the 10 day of Nov.~ !949~ for the p~m~pose of holding a public hearing upon such prelimirm~ry budget~ and be it FURTR~R RESOLVED~ that the Town Clerk give notice of such public hearing in the manner provided in Eection lI3~of the ~own Law~ and that such notice be published in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF HEARING UPON PRELIMINARY BUDGET Notice is hereby given~h~ the preliminary budget of the Town of Southold for the Fis~al'y~r beginning January lst~ 19~ has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk~ at Southold, N.Yo~ v£~ere it is available for inspection by any ~nterested person at all reasonable hours.
