Klipp at Greenport~ on Tuesday~ June 7~ 1959~ The meeting was called to order at l:~O R.M. ~?~th the following present: Supervisor Klipp; J~stices Terry~ Tuthill~ Albertson and Clark; Town Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims against the Town~ concluding the audit work at 2:15 P,M. The minutes ~ the previous ~eeting were rea d and duly ~pproved as read, Moved by Justice .klbertson; seconded by Justice Clark: Resolved: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held at the office of the Supervisor~ at Greenport~ e~ Tuesday~ June 21~ 1949~ at 1:30 P.M, Unanimously adopted, George F. Grathwohl appeared before the Board petitioning t~e Board to take over and work as a public highway a proposed road at New Suffolk, The Board agreed to do so as soon as the necessary papers are executed. Moved by Jmstice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Terry: Resolved: That General Bills in the amount of $1~705, O~; Lighting District Bills in the amount of $1~166.32; Non-reimbursable Welfare Bills in the amount of $151+o0~; Fishers Island Ferry District Bills~ Acco-out No. 2 in the amount o~ $10~200,24 and Town Trustees Bills in the amount o~f $5,O0 be and the same are hereby ordered paid. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice ~lark; seconded by Justice Tuthill; Resolved: That-the Supervisor be and hereby'is authorized to purchase a Life Boat to be used at the Southold Town Beach, Unanimously adopted, Moved~by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Terry~ ResolVed: That the Long Island Lighting Company be and is hereby authorized to remove a street light in the Mattituck Lighting District #l~ at the intersection of So~ud Ave~ and the Main Road. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Tuthi!l; seconded by Justice Albertson: Resol,ved: That the Police Report for the month of May be accepted by the Board and placed on file. Unanimously adopted, Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Terry: Resolved: That Barney Peter Harris and Henry ~rewster Faucon be and hereby are appointed Police Patrolman (Constables) of the To~eaof Southold for a probationary period of six (6) months following the date that the appointment becomes effective~ and BE IT F%~THER RESOLVED$ That Barney Peter Harris and Henry Brewster Faucon will serve in the capacity of Police Patrolman (Constables) of the Town of Southold at the pleasure of,~be Town Board, and BE iT FUREHER RESOLVED: That the compensation during probationary period be fixed at six dollars per day~ payable in regular bi-weekly payments~ and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this probationary appointment take effect on June 18~ 1949o Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Tuthi!l~ seconded by Justice Terry: Resolved~ That inasmuch as the required dedications have been received and map of the same duly filed and the necessary papers signed~ the Town Board take over and maintain as public highways North Street and School House Road at Cutchogue.
