HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-05/23/1950Meeting of May S~, 1950 The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E.~KIipp at GreenP0rt~ on Tuesday, May 23, 1950o The Meeting was called ~o order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present.: Super- visor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, and Clark; Town Super- intendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved as tread. ~oved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: esOlved: That the regular monthly a~dit meeting of this Board be held at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport on Tuesday, jun~ 6, 1950 at 1:30 P.M. · Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded bY Justice Albertson; .... Resolved: That the Supervisor be authorized to take necessary steps to request a ~8 foot Coast Guard Picket Boat to beassigned to patrol duty in Gardiners Bay, Greenport Harbor, Shelter~sland Sound~ Great Peconic Bay and Little PeconicBay, through the months of April, May,~June~~ July, August and September. Unanimousiy~adopted. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved: That ~own Welfare Officer~ Archie W. Symonds be authorized to attend Town an~ C~unty Officers Training School at Hobart- ~ia~s Smith ¢oll~es~ Geneva,.New York, on June l~th, 15th and zo~n~ aecessary ex~nses incurred by a Welfare Officer attending this school~are a prope~ Town charge under sub-division 12 Section 102 of the Town Law. ~ Unanimously adopted. ~ Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved: That inasmuch as the required dedications have been duly received, map of same duly filedand the necessary papers signed, the Town Board take over and maintain as public highways~ Ha~water Drive~ Broadwaters Drive,-Oak Drive, Mason Drive and Hickor Drive at~¢utchOgue, Town of Southold, N.Y. Y Unanimouslym~dopted. ~ Moved by,Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved that the ~hief of Police he-and hereby is authorized to appoint a watchman for duty at the Police Department on Sundays through the months of June, July, %~August and September, salary te be $?.i00 per diem. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson: Whereas~ .the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District have heretofore on Jttue 15, 1928, entered into a letter agreement with E.S.~ Wilcox of New London, Conn., for the operation of a vessel for sai~ ~erry District, and Whereas, said letter of agreement has from time to time been modified and W~nereas, !th~ exigencies of the situation requires the continuous and uninterested operation of said Fishers Island Ferry District.
