HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-04/11/1950Meeting of April ll~ 1950 The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norma~ E. Klipp at Greenport on Tuesday~ April ll~ 1950. The meeting was called to order~at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry~ ~uthill, Albertson and Clark; Town SUPerinten- dent of Highways, Price; Town Attorsey Terry and Town clerk BOoth. The Board ~at ~t'once as a committee on audit to examine claims against the Tow~u, c0ncluding~the audit work at 2 P.M. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved as read. Moved by Justice Cla~k; seconded hy Justice Tuthill: Whereas~ it is the intention of the Town Board of the Town of Southold to establish a Recreation Project and ~ereas~· the Town of Southol~ is about to submit an application mfor~ such a project to the New York State ~Youth Commission~for ~is ap- proval~ and if approved~ to apply subsequently t© the Btate of~New York for partial reimbursement of~funds expended on said project~ as ~rovided by Chapter ~6 of the Laws of 19~, as amended: Now~ Therefore be it Resolved~ that such application is in all respects approved and Norman E. Klipp~ SUpervisor, is hereby directed and authorized to dulY~execute and to present said application to the New YOrk State Youthcommission for its ~pproval. This resolution shall take effect immediately. Unanimously ado~pted. Moved by' Justice Clark; seconded by J~stice Terry: Resolved: That the regular monthly meetin~ of this Board be held at the office of the Supervisor, at Greenport, on Tuesday~ April 25, 1950, at l:~O P.M. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved: That the Town Board does hereby ~Dprove the map~of "Greenport Homes" at Greenport, Town of Southold~ N.Y., owned and developed by the United States of America for sub-division purposes. Unanimously ~opted. Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Tuthill: Resolved: That the Police Report for the month mof March be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Unanimously adopted. The Bonds of Barney P. Harris and Henry B. Faucon were presented to the Board for approval. seconded Moved by Justice Clark; _ by Justice Terry: Resolved: That Bond ~ S~ 175,6~2 issued by the AmerioanMotorists Insurance Company in the sum of $500. in behalf of Barney P. Har~i~ and Bond No. SM-l~5~6~ issued by the American Motorists Insurance 2'65 company in the sum of $500. on behalf of Henry B. Faucon, be and the same are hereby approved as to form~ sum~ manner of execution and sufficiency of surety therein. guanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Justice Albertson: Resolved: That the Town Board does hereby approve the letter of agreement between the Fishers Island Ferry District and E.S. Wilcox i~he' operation of the Col. JohnE. Baxter and T'.P.-~2 in t~m.um ef $~200. from March l~ to March 31, 1950, both dates inclusive. Unanimously adopted.
