Elipp, at Greenport~.on Tuesday~ March ?, 1950.~ The me*ting w~as
cmlled to Order at 1.30, P.M. w~th the following present: Super-
visor KlioD:_~ ~ustices Terry;,~ ~ Tuthill;. Albertson· and Clark~ Town
Supt. of Highways Price~ ~own Attorney Terry and Town Cler~Booth.
The Board satlat once as a committee on audit to examine ~laims
against the Town concluding the audit work at 2 o'clock P.M.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved as
rea~.
Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
R~solved: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held
at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport on Friday, Mar&h 25~1950~
Unanimously adopted.
At 2:1~ .P.M. in accordance with a notice published according to
law~ bids were opened for proposals to,furnish the Town of Southold
~tw~ 2 Deer Sedan standard model automobiles for use as police cars.
The bids were as foll~ws: Rivehhead? Hudson $9S8. each; Gree~port
Ento Sales $900. each, Vail Bros.~ Inc. $1,015.92 each.

I~ Resolved: That the bid of the Greenport Aut~ Sales
b~eing lowest responsable bidder be and the same is hereby ac-
cpted.
Unanimously adopted.
A communication was read from the secretzry of the Cutchogue Fire
Department, requesting permission to hold a townament of the North
Fork Volunteer Fireman's Association in Cutchogue on July l~ 1950~
and to erect a temporary arch over Pequash Ave. and place a tem-
porar~ fire hydrant on the westerly side of said road.
Be It Resolved: That the request be gr~nted the Cutchogue Fire
~epartment to hold a tournament of the North Fork Vol~teer
Fireman's Association 'in Cutchogue, Town of Southold~ on July l,
1950, a~d that permission be granted them to erect a temporary
arch over Pequash ~ve. and place a temporary fire hNdr~nt on the
westerly side of said r~ad, providing the Tow~of Southold be
indemnified and ~ saved harmless from any and all c~ims aris-
ing out of or by re~son of the same and that the Town be furnished
with an insurance policy of indemnification.
UnanimoUsly adopted.
Moved.by. Justice Albe~tson; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved. That the BUPervisor be and hereby is instructed to advise
the County Superintendent of Highways to install a permanent
traffic circle~at the intersection of Main Road and North Road
at Greenport.
Unanimously adopted.
The bond of SUperviso~ Klipp was presented to the Board for approval.
Moved by. Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
Resolved. That p~rsuant to the provisions of Section 283 of the
Highway Law, Bond No. 1Sll6 313 of the Aetna Casualty and Surety
Company on behalT of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp in the sum of
$5~000. be and the same is hereby approved as-to form and suf-
ficiency of surety therein. Four votes in the affirmative,
Supervisor Klipp not voting.
The bonds of Otto L. Anrig~ James ?. Kelly and Henry Y. King
were presented to the Board for approval.

Resolved: That the agreement for the expenditure of Highway-mone~s~
Section 28~, Highway Law, made by and between Harold Brice~ Town `
Superintendent of Highways and the Town Board be and the same
is hereby approved by the Town Board-a~d the County Supt. of'
Highways.

Resolved: That General Bills in the su~of $3,678.26; Lighting
~istrict Bills in the sum of $1,171.95; Non-reimbursable Welfare
Bills in the sum of $17J06 and Fishers Island Ferry District Bills~
Account No; 2~ in the sum of $$s28~.69~ be and the same are hereby
ordered paid.

Resolved: That the Town Bsard doe~'hereby approve the letter
of Agreement between the Fishers Island Ferry District and E.S~
Wilcox in the operation of the vessel Col. John E. Baxter in the
sum of $~692.87 ~from~eb. i to Feb. 28, 1950, both dates in-
elusive. ~

Resolved: That the Police report for the'month of February be
accepted by the Town Board and placed on file.
