The Southold ~own Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E.
Klipp at Greenpot~, on Thursday, Nov. 8, 19~l. The meeting was
called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present:~Supervisor
Klipp; Justices merry, Tuthilt, ~lbertson and Clark; Town~ttorney
Terry and Town Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee sn~Amditt~o examine claims
against the Town concluding the audit ~ork at 2 P.M.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and were duly approved
as read.
Moved by ~Justice Atbertson; seconded by~ustice Clark:
Resolved:· That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held
at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport~ on Tues.,
at 1:~30 P.M.
Unanimously adopted.
The Public Hearing on the budget was formally opened by the Super-
visor at 2:00 O'clock P.M. in accordance with the notice published
in the newspapers of the town as required by law. The Supervisor
read the call of the Hearing and as there were no interested persons
having appeared before the Board to spea~ either for or against
any of the items in the proposed budget, the hearing was formally
closed at 3 P.M.

Budget for 19~1-52
WHEREAS~ the Town Board of the Town of Southold has met at the time
and place specified in the notice of public hearing on the prelim-
inary budget and heard all persons desiring to be heard thereon;
now, therefore~ be it
RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the ~own of Southoid does hereby
adopt such preliminary_.budget as ori$inally compiled~ as the
annual budget of this Town ~or the fiscal year beginning on the
1st day of January~ 19~2, and that such budget as so adopted be
entered in detail in the minutes of the proceedings of this Town
Board, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southo!d shall
prepare and certify, in duplicate, copies of said annual budget as
adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Southold, together with
the estimates, if any, adopted pursuant to Section 202-a~ subd. 2,
of the Town Law and deliver one copy thereof to the Supervisor of
this Town to be presented by him to the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Suffolk.

RESOLVED: That the street lighting cb~tract between the Town of
Southold and the Long Island Lightin~,~ompany~ co~ering the Cutchogue
New Suffolk Lighting District for a period of five (~) years~ beginning
on the l~th day o~ October 1951~ and terminating on the 14th day of
October 19~6 be and the same is hereby approved by the Town Board.

RESOLVED:'That SupsrMisor Norman E. Klipp be authorized to transfer
Seven Thousand Five aundre~ Dollars ($7~O0,00) from Fishers Island
Ferry District Account ~ to ~shers Island Ferry District A~co~t ~15
this amount partially replaces monies previously transferred for
Account #1 to Account #2.

RESOL~D: That Irving M. Eogers of Greenport; Elmer K. Quarry of
Southold~ Chester Melot of Mattituck and Donald S. Edwards of
Fishers island be and hereby are appointed Dog Enumerators for
the Town of Southoid for the year 19~2.

RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be authorized to negotiate
an agreement with George Vloutely for the painting of the outside
of the Town Building in Southold.
