The'Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman
E. Klipp at Greenport~ on Tues.~April 24, 1951. ~he meeting
was called to order at 1:30 P. M. with the Following present:
Supervisor Klipp; JusticeSTerry, Tutthill, Albertson and Clark;
Town Superintendent Highways Price; Town AttOrney Terry and Town
Clerk Booth.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and were duly
approved as re~d~

Resolved:~That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board
will be held at the office of the .Supervisor at Greenport, on
Tues.~ May 8~ 19~l~ at l:~O P. M.

Whereas, it is the intention of the Town Board of the Town of
Sou~hold to establish a Recreation Project and
Whereas, the Town of Southold is about to submit an application~o
to the New York State Youth Commission forits approval~ and if
approved~ to apply subsequently to the State of New York for
partial reimbursmeht of funds expended on said project, as pro-
vided by chapter ~6 of the Laws of 194~, as amended:
Now, Therefore Be It Resolved: That such application is in all
~espects approved and Norman E. Klipp~ Supervisor~ is hereby
Girected an~ authorized to duly execute and to present said
application ~to the New York State YOuth Comm&ssion for its
approval. This resolution shall take effect immediately.

Resolved: ~That Marion A.~ Winters be and hereby is appointed as
Provisional iJunior Clerk, to s~rve in such capacity at the Town
Clerk's~0ff~ce~ Southold~ New York,.subject to the approval of
the SuffolkCounty Civil Service Commission, and
Be It Further Resolved: That Marion A. Winters be compensated
for such se~¢ice in the amount of One Thousand ~ix Hundred
Dollars($1,6oo.OO) per.year, and ~

An application was read from Charles E. Bates to.the U. S. Army
Corps of Engineers-for permission to dredge in front of his
property a't 6reenport.

front of h~s property.

The hearing on the matter of purchasing machinery for the High-
way Department which was advertised in accordance with Section
142 of ~hs. Highway Law w~s d~ly opened at 2.~0 oclock P.M. No
person~e~ before the Board to speak either for or against
the items mentioned in the legal notice. The hearing was duly
closed at 3 o'clock P.M.

Highway Law the Town Superintendent of Hi~ghways is hereby authorized
to purchase from~iunicipal Machinery Co,~ with'the appro?al-of the
CoUnty Superintendent of H ghways.
One (1) Good Roads"lO ft. Sand Spreader for a total price of One
thousand two hundred thirty. &~:OO/1OO - -dollars ($1~30~OO))delivered
at Peconic~ L. I.~ N. Y.-and to be delivered on or abcut May lgth.~
