The Southotd Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E.
Klipp at~Gree~p~ort, en Tues,, ~Iarch 6, 19Ol. The meeting was ~alled
to o~der at 1Li30 P~. with the following present: Supervisor Kllpp;
Justices Terry, mTuthill, Albertson and Clark; Town Superintendent
of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Boeth~
The minutes-of ~he previous meeting were read and were duly approved
as read~ ~
D~. Jo ~h~ Wasson appeared before the Board requesting the Board to
take ever a proposed road at k~tti~uck, extending from the Main Road
south to the Bay Boulevard.
Mo~e~b~ Justice Tuthill, seconded by Justice Albertson:
Resolved: That when a strip 30 feet in width of the prGp~sed road
is cleare~d of woods and stumps, ground plowed and harrowed, the Beard
will ~iew same and if it is to th~ satisfaction of the Town Board,
the Board will consider t~king it over as a public highway.
Unanimously adopted.
GeorgelKaeiin appeared before the Board requesting the Board tG take
over a proposed, road through his property at Arshamomaque.

ReSolved: That. when a strip 30 feet in width of the proposed road is
cleared, plowedi and harrowed, the Board will view same, and if it is
to the sa~tiSfacltion of the Town Board the Board will con~ider t~king
it over, as.. a p~blic highway.

Harold iGoldsmith and Nelson Axien appeared before the Board regarding
~'the .Possibiliity of the Board taking over a proposed road a~ PeGonic,
this D~0posed road would be a~dextention of Fasbender Ave.

A communication was read from the Mattituck Chamber of Commerce
requesting the ~oard to build a sidewalk on Pacific Street at Mattituck
extend~ng from Sound Ave. to the ~in ~oad, ~he ~oard decided they
would ~ake ~he matter uo at the next budget meeting. They also
recues~ed a written rep%rt from the County Superintendent of Highways
in'regard to the survey of waters of ~att~tuck Creek south of'the
Old ~ikl Bridge the Sune~visor stated he wo~td writ~ the County
~Super~tenden~ of' Highways for such a report.
A communication was received-from the Southo~d Town Trustees
under date of February
property owners of
~oo~e Gay ~states, Southold, requesting that
Goose-Greek Bridge at Southold be elevated to provide a dlearance
Of la feet abo~e mean highwater Sark, said petitien bearing the
date of August 18, 1950, as the County Engineers have jurisdietian
over the bridge the Supervisor was instructed to take the matter
up, with the Ccunty Engineers and rep~t at a la~er date,

hardship on residents~. · of Southold z~owns~ip, particularly, those
residing on ~lsners Zsland, and
