The Meeting was called'to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following ~resent: · Supervisor Horton; Justices Terry; Hawkins,; Klipp and Tuthiil$ Town Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorsey Terry and Town Clerk Booth.~ ~The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims against the To~-~ concluding the audit at 2:O~ P.M. Them minutes of .the previous meeting were read and duly approved as read. Moved b~Justice Tuthilt~ seconded by Justice Hawkins: Resolved: That William Granger of Mattituck who has been acting as ~ temporary Constable for the Town of Southold, be and hereby is appointed a permanent Constable. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Hawkins$ seconded by Justice Klipp: Resolved: That General Bills in the amount of $2,153.95 be and the same are hereby ordered paid. Unanimously adopted. Moved by Justice Klipp; seconded by Justice Terry: Resolved: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board be held at the SuperviSor's Office. on Friday, May 23, 19~7, at 1:30 P.M. Unanimously adopted. At 2:30 P.M. the Board went to view the railroad spur on the property of Albert ~A. Olson. He requested permission of the Town Board to extend this spur across Seventh Street, which connects with his other property. The Board also iaspected the steps at the head of SOund View Rd. at Greenport, and the steps at the head Of Rocky Point Road at Wast Marion. The sound beach at East Marion on the property o~ George M. Tisdale. ~ Public Hearing will be held at the office of· the Supervisor at Greenport, N~Y. on Tuesday, May 23, 1957 at 2:00 P.M. to consider the ~ecom~en~ation of the Superinte~de~t of Highways for the pur- chase of machinery and equipment in excess of $500. in accordRnce with~Chapteril~2 of the H~ghway Law.
