Moore's Woods:
Neb has asked for a decision from Grcenpori by 9!30/97 regarding the bike path and park improvements,
as the location of the bike route needs to be determined before the map can be designed The trails would
be maintained by Greenport, if the enhancements were to be approved. Margaret, Victor and Neb visited
the bridge. Issues aze its width (S), height and vandalized struchue. Dumping is evident.
Victor reported that Gail Horton (Grcenport) felt that the scope was grander than originally envisioned.
She is not supportive of the bike Vail and would rather keep the woods as a "hidden Veasure". The scope
of work could be scaled back.
Bike map:
A list of items for inclusion on the map was given to Paul I{reiling, the project artist, by Mazgazet Brown.
The Town is obtaining MapInfo and, with help from NYS, will be able to develop GIS maps incorporating
[he bike routes.
Bike routes:
The Town will be obtaining a $280,000 grant for highway improvements. Approximately $190,000 of this
is to be used for the resurfacing of Sound View Road. Victor and Glynis will talk to the engineers about
the proposed design.
