The major subdivisions total more than 500 lots. It was the concensus of the Planning Board ~to recommend to the Town Board that no moratorium be imposed on major development for the full length of the development plan update. The board was in agreement that should a planninq firm discover potential problems, such as water, in a given area that that would be the time to consider the possibility of restricting activity within a problem area for a short period of time, not to exceed 60 days. As a result of the in-depth presentation, quality, quanity and estab- lished expertise, the Southold Town Planning Board feels the methodology of research by Raymond, Parish, Pine & weiner by unanimous consent should be awarded the undertaking for the Southold Town Master Plan and Zoning Ordinance Update. After review of specific data requested from both Ward Associates and Raymond, Parish, Pine & Weiner, the Planning Board does not find Ward Associates satisfactory for proceeding with the Master Plan. The Planning Board will forward such information to the ToWn Board and request funding for this project.
