V. SIMIDIAN FOR VARIANCE - HEARING TO BE HELD AT 9:10 PM, JUNE 2, 1977. Dear Sirs: Unfortunately, I must be out of town on June 2nd, but I respectfully request to be heard regarding this application by Dikran V. Simidian. I am a neighbor of the Simidian family - residing accross the private street from them, within a 100 yards or so. I am a permanent, year around resident of Salt Lake Village, a taxpayer, and I object most strenuously to the granting of this variance to building codes. I voice this objection with some regret, as I know the elder Mr. Simidian and like him as a neighbor. However there is no question but that the building an additional "accessory" building in the loc- ation proposed (and I believe already started) will seriously detract from the neighborhood and its property values. The Simidians already have one "accessory" building, which I believe is used as a dormatory or additional family living quarters, and which does detract somewhat from the appearance of Salt Lake Village. An additional building, practically on their property lin~ will only be a further detraction from the appearance of this neighborhood. My own home is now taxed at over $2000 per year and certainly if this section practically adjacent to my property is albwed to fill up with miscellaneous building in violation to the standards of the zoning codes, then I shall demand a reduction in taxes comparable to this reduction in my property value and enjoyment. I respectfully request the Board to deny this request for variance. Sincerely f~A~~ TOWN OF SOUTHOLD BuildIng Inspector's Office Town ~Ierk Building Southold, N.
