The meet'trig was called to order at 1.:30 P.~. with the following present: Supervisor Horton; ~ustices, Te~y, Hawkins, and Klipp; Town Super- intenden~ of Highways Price and Town Clerk Booth. The Board sat at ~once az a committee on ~udit to examine claims against the Town, .concluding the audit at E P.~. The m~nutes .of the previous meeting were read and duly approved as read. ~o~ed hy ~ustiee Terry, seconded by Justice Hawkins; Resolved: That the salary of Frank S. D~wson,Attendance Officer of the School D~striet~ o~ the Town of Southold, be placed at $800, per annum, effective as of Aug. l, 1946~ Unanimously ad~oted, I~e~'b~ Justice Hawkins, seconded by Justice Terz-y; Resolved: That the Southold Town Board hereby recommends Fran~ S. D~wsonof New ~uffolk, for reappointment as ~t~em~ance ~ti~rvisor for the common schools of the Town of SouthoId for the year at a salary of $800~ per annum, he to pay his own travel expense. Said appointment subject to the approval of the District Superintendent ~f Schools and that the Town Clerk be directed-to notify the Superinten- ~nent, ~rry B. ~ard of the recommendation of this Board. ~n~m~usl~ adopted. ~o, ved by ~ustice Hawkins, seconded h~ Justice Terry; Resolved: That the ~own Board make its official visit to Fishers Island on ~ed~esday A~gust 14, 1~46, leaving the railroad dock at Greenport a~ 8:00 ~.~. o~ ~apt~ Raynor ~ic~h~m's boat.
