Booth To~n Clerk Meeting of June 4, 1946 The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor S. Wentworth Horton, at Greenport, on Tuesday June 4, 1946. The meeting was called to order a~ 1:30 P.M. with the fo&lowing present: Supervisor HorroR; Justices Terry, Hawkins and Elipp, Town Supt. of Highways P~iee; ToE Attorney Terry and Town 01erkBooth. The Board sat at once as a Co~ttee on Audit to examine claims against ~he ~ow~o~ncluding ~he audit at 2 P.M. The minutes of ~he previous meeting were read and duly approved as read, Move~ by Justice Eawkims, seconded by Justice Terry; EESOLVED: Thai the salary of Eloise Bowden, Junior_ S~eno~ra- -pher in the Town Offices, be placed at $1600. per annum, effective as of July l, 1946. Moved by Justice Terry, seconded by Justice Hawkins; WHEREAS: The legal voters of the Mattituck Park District ~h~v- img legally ~dopted a proposition ~e acquire certain land said ~istrict for park purposes, am~ having vo~ed ~o borrow the s~mef $4~ ~o pay therefore, such s~m to be paid installments by ~he issuing bonds, and the said propositie~ having therefore been approved by this Town Board, and the commissiGners of said Ma~tiluckPark District having applied to this Board to authorize ~he Supervisor of Southold Town to issue a certificate of indebtedness in the sum of in anticipatiom of the issuing of said bonds, It is Hereby RESOLVED: That Supervisor Herren he au~thorized to issue such eertifica~i.n in the name o~f Southotd Town on behalf of the ~tti~uck Park ~istrict, and to pay the proceeds to the T~easurer of said district in anticipation of a bo~d issue t~ repay same. The increase is as of Ju~e 1, 1946.
