Wentworth Horton, at Greenport on Friday, April ,19, 1948. The

present: Supervisor Horton, ~ustioe Hawkins, Sup~. of Highways
Price, Town A~orney, Terry and Town Clerk Booth,

It is figured roughly that ilO hydrants ~ou~d cover
the entire Fi~'e Protection District so that all dwellings would
be within the required distance from hydrants to come within the
insuranoe requirements for ~!~l~preteete~ property. Thus, the sum
of $~i0O& per annum WOuld be reguired. This is about $~.t~ per
thousand of assessed valuation. ~t is believed that this would
reduce insurance ~ost to individual home owners by about ~0
per cent. The Village of Greenport agrees to put in the
necessary pipes and h~dran~s~ figuring not tess than i0
