The organization meeting~of the Southold Town B~.rd was held
at the office of Supervisor S. Wentworth Horton, at G~eenport,
on Wedaesday, January 2, 1946. The meeting was ca!led to order
at 1:30 P.M; with the following present; .Supervisor HorroR;
Justices Hawkins, Klip~ and Case; Town SuperinSe~dent of High-
wayA Pric. e and' ~own Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a co~ttee on audit to examine ~he
claims against the town, concluding the audit at 2
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and duly -approved'
as read.
The resignation of Frederick ~n~weilter of Southold, as Special
Constable was read on motion of Justice Hawkins, seconded by
Justice Klipp on roll call ~u~a~mo~styadopted, it~ was
RESOLVED: Tha~ the Southold~Town Board accept with regret the
resi~gnation of Frederick Manaweilter as Special Gonsteble, and
express its appreciation of the faithful% and effi~eni'service
rendered by Mr. Man~weiller.
It Ess Further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be instructed to
send a copy of the resolution ~o Mr. Man~weiller~

P~SOLVED: That pursuant to the provisions of paragraph i
SeCtion 54 of the Town Law as amended by Chapter 675 of the Laws
of t9~5, the Supervisor shall deposi~.all monies coming i~to his
hands as such Supervisor in the.following banks: First National
Bank of Greenport, Peoples National Bs-k of Greenp0rt, First
N%t~onal Bank & Trl~st~9~mpany of Nattituck~ First Nat. Bank of
u~chogue and Bane or ,~outhold.

A bany, N.Y. on February 20th, 21st and 22nd, 1946, andI to cast
the vote {or the said T~wn of Somthold and that Ju~ticeiHarry
Terry be designated as alternate to cast the vote ~or said
Town in the absence of Supervisor Horton.
