At your request I have reviewed the design and construction of this sunroom to determine compliance with the current edition of the New York State Building Code. The sunroom measures 20 feet wide and projects 14 feet from the house wall. The roof is a cathedral style meaning that the roof slopes from the center to the projection walls of the sunroom. The sunroom was constructed over an existing concrete slab that is of good quality with no cracks or spalling. A short extension on the front edge of the concrete slab was constructed on piers with an insulated deck. The piers were designed to properly support the loads from the sun room. Based on my review, it is my opinion that the sunroom was constructed by Redwin Industries at the above referenced location in accordance with both the plans submitted for the building permit and the current edition of the New York State Building Code.
