of Code Compliance from architect or engineer responsible for the building.
6. Submit Planning Board Approval of completed site plan requirements.

for Solar Roof Installation
I have verified the adequacy and structural integrity ofthe existing rafter for mounting of
Sharp 167w solar panels and their installation will satisfy the structural roof framing
design-loading requirements ofthe New York State Residential Code - without the need
for adding reinforcing to the existing rafter beams.
For the installation of the solar mounting, the mounting rails will be supported by Unirac
L- feet and the structural plan drawings show the designed staggered anchorage pattern
for the mounting rail rows.
The Photovoltaic system and the mounting assembly shown on the submitted drawings
complies with the applicable sections of building code - "Solar Systems" and
requirements of roof-mounted collectors, roof penetrations, as well as applied loading
conditions that will satisfy the building code requirements.
Thereby, I endorse the solar panel installation and certify this design for mounting the
solar mounting assembly onto the existing rafter beams to be structurally adequate.
