A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the
off, ce of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp atGreenport, on Thursday,
Eebruary 28, 1952. The meeting was called to order at ? ~'clock
P.M. Wi~h t~e following present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Terry~
Tuthill and Clark; and Town Clerk Booth.

BUDGET NOTE OF L9~2.
The ~0W~ OF SOUTHOLD, in the County of Suffolk, a municipality
of-the Stateof New York, hereby acknowledges itself indebted
and forlvalme received promises to pay to the First ~ational
B~mk of~Greenport thee sum of.Ten Thousand ($10~000.)Dollars,
on the 28thday of ~ebruary, 19~3, together with~interest ·
thereon f~om the'da~.~ hereof at the rate. of 1.95 per annum.,
· payable annually. Both principal and interes~ of this:note will

BUDGET NOTE RESOLUTION of February 28, 19~2~ of the TOWN OF
SOUTHOLD, of Suffolk County, New York, in the AMOUNT OF $10,005.
BE IT RESOLVED, this 28th day of ~ebruary, 1952, by the Town
Board of the Te~eaof Southold, New York, as follows:
Section 1. That, WHEREAS, an insufficient appropriation was
made for home relief in the current annual budget of the Town of
Southeld, pursuant to provisions of the Social Welfare ~aw of '
the ~te~of New York, a supplemental appropriation of $10,000.00
for home relief is hereby made, and pursuant to the Local F~nance
Law of the State of New York, for ~he purpose of fiB~ncing such
supplemental appropriation, the TOWN OF SOUTHOLD shall issue
and sell a budget note in the amount of $10,000.~0 temature
on February 28, 195~.
Section 2. That~ except as herein specifically prescribed,
said~note-shall be of the date, terms, form, contents and place
of payment and at a rate of interest not exoeeding TWO (2%) per
centnm per anmum, as may be determined b~ ~he.~Town~perv~sor,
consisient, hOwever~ with th~ provisions of.~the sai~...Locat EAr, nee
Law o2 the State of New York, and shall be-executed in ~the ~ame
of the said TOwn by its Superviso~..and the Seal of said Town
shall be attached thereto.
Sec$~. That said note shall be sold at private sale by~
the Town Supervisor at a price of not less than par M$1ue,~a~
accrued.interest~ if any, and upon due execution and s~le Of
said note the same shall be delivered to the~purchaser~upon~
payment bY him to the Town Supervisor of the purchase price in
cash; and the re~ei~ of such Supervisor shall be a full acquit~
anco to such purchaser who shall ~ot be obliged to see to the
application of the purchase money.
Section ~. i The full faith and credit of the Town of Southold,
New York, a~e pledged te the punctual payment of principal and
interest on said note.
Section ~. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
THE QUESTION OF THE ADOPTION OF THE FOREGOING RESOLUTIONWAS DULY
PUT TO A VOTE~WHICH RESULTED AS FOLLOWS:

'Board of Supervie~rs in opposing ena'etment of a bill
Uced ~in.the~State ~egislature (AssemblY~?rint No. 1828~
haul seines in the waters of the marine district in ~e County
of Suffolk~ prior to a conservation department investigation of
the present condition with respect to sport and commercial
f~shing in this area.
