Meeting of February 13, 1952
The Southold Town Board met at.the office of Supervisor Norman
E. Klipp at Greenport, on Wednesday, February 13, 1952. The
meeting w~.~s called to order at 1:30 P~M.- withthe following
present: ~upervisor Klipp; Justices Terry, ~uthill, Albertso~
and Clark$ Superintendent of Highways Price, TawnAttorney
Terry and Town Clark Booth.
The TownBoard sat as a committee on audit to examine claims
against the-Town concluding the audit workat 2::30 P.M..
The ma~nutes of the previous meeting were read and weJe dUly
approved as read.
George F. Grathwohl appeared before the Board requesting it
to have four additional street lights installed on Grathwohl
Road, in New SUffolk.
Moved By Justice Albertson$ seconded by Justice Clark:
RESOLVED: That the~Town Clerk be and hereby is.~irected te re-
quest the Long ISland Lighting Company to install four ($)
additional aerial streetlights in the Cutchogue and New
Suffolk L: District, said lights to be placed on poles
#1~, #17, on Grathwohl Road, New Suffolk.

A communication was read from Herbert B. Hayden requesting
permission from the Town Board to erect a fence in front of
the property now owned by his wife~ at MattituCk. Encording
to the map this fence would encroach on the highway. The
Supervisor was instructed to take the matter up with Mr. Hayden.

RESOLVED: That the probationary appointment of Edward S.
Szozotka (Brush) and Charles Jacobs as ~o~ice Patrolman
(Constables) of t~e Town of Southold, be changed to permanent
appointments, and that the compensation of said appointees be
increased from seven dollars to seven dollars and seventy cents
per day~ payable in regular bi-weekly payments, effective March 8,
1952. ·

at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport, at~2 o'clock P.M.

A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the

Eebruary 28, 1952. The meeting ~as called to orde~ at 7 ~'clock

of-the State of New York, hereby acknowledges itself indebted
and forlvalue received promises, to pay to the First national
B~mk of~Greenport the snm of.Ten Thousand ($10,000.) Dollars,
on the 28th day of ~ebruary, 1953, together with~interest
thereon from thedat.e hereof at the rate. of 1.95 per annum.,
payable annually. Both principal and interes~ of this:note will
be pa~din lawful money of the United~States ~of America, aththe
office of the Supervisor of the Town of Southold~ Greenport,
SUffolk County, New York.
Thisnote may not be converted to registered form.
This Note is the only note of an authorized issue
in the amount of $1~,000.00 for the purposeOf~
finamcing a supplemental appropriation forheme ~.,
relief, ~he cost of which is in excess of the
appropriation made'in the current budget.
This No~e is issued pursuant to the provisions of a resolution
entitled "Budget Note Resolution"~, duly adopted by the Town
Board of such Town of SoutHold, on.February 28, 1952; and the
