The BOard sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims
against the Town concluding concluding the audit work at 2 P.M.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and were duly approved
as read. ~ -

RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board will-be
held at the office of the Supervisor at Greenport, on Tuesday,

WHEREAg: Section 62 of the Town Law requires that every Town Board shall
meet on ~'~Safter the 28th day of December, but not later than the 31st
day of December, in each year, and
WHEREAS: Thereis no other time specified by law when meetings of the
Town. Bo~rd of a Second Class Town should be held, now therefore be it
REBOLVED: That the Supervisor be and hereby is empowered to call all
meetingm. S of the town Board as may be required for t~e best interest

RESOLVED: That each member of the Town Board be given at least 2 days
notice in advance of such meeting, notice to contain the time and place

Within si~ty ~60) days after the close of 2he fiscal year the Tr~asure~
of each F~re 'istrict shall file in the office of the Town Clerk'and
the State Comptroller a financial statement setting forth in detail the
receipts and expenditures of the Fire. District for hbo previous fiscal
year.(Section 181 of the Town Law).
On or before the l~th day of ~anuary in each year the commissioners of
each Improvement District shail file with the Town Clerk a financial
report for the presiding fiscal year. (Section 215, Subdivision-9, Towm
Law)
The Town Clerk should advise the Town Board as to existing contracts,
for lighting~ garbage collection, fire protection, wa~er supply, and also
leases of any property rented by the Town, and specify the date of
expiration of such Contracts. ( Section 6~ SubdiVision 2 an~ 19,
Section 18~, 18~ and 198, Subdivision 6~7,8 and 9 of the Town Law).
The Town Clerk should_ supply to the Executive Secretary o~ the AssoCiAtion
of Towns at the Hotel Ten Eyck~ Albany, New York, a correct list of
the names'and addresses of all Town Officers and the SUpervi~sor should
advise the members that'he, the Town Clerk, ~ustices. of the~Peace~
Superintendentef nighWays~ AsSessorS, Welfare 0fficer~ and the Town
