The meeting was called to order at 1~30 P~. with the following present~ Supe~-~isor Horte~ Justices Ter~y~ ~f~wkins; Klipp and Case; Town Superintendent of H{.ghways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. ~inutes of the previous meeting were read and duly approved as read. Moved by Justice K~ipp; seconded by Jmstiee Hawkins: Resolved: That the following proposition be sUbmitte~ at the next biennia~ e~ectic~of the Tow~ of Sout~old:- Shall the Town Board of the Town'of Somthold be authorized, em- powered and directed ~o construct, operate and maintain a refuse dis- posal ~r incinerator pla~t oR the site of the presen~ to~ d~ north of Gut~hogue amd purchase, operate and m~intain a~ .necessary tianees appurtenant thereto, for the disposition of Earg~ge, ashes, rubbish and o~her waste matter with~u ~he Town of So~t4hot~, exaept- lng the territory-i~luding the limits of Fishers Island,~ for the benefit of the inhabitants of said territory, and Shall the sum ofFI~i~THOUSAND ($80,000.) thereof as ~ay be necessary, be raised by a tax in Lust a period of fifteen (15) years to be ~evied on the of So~thold excluding Fishers Island for the paying struction pursuan~ t~ Section 83 Gf the ~own La~ and other la~$~ap- Dlicabie thereto. so, much ove~ Unanimously ad~pted. Move~ by Justice Case; seconded by Justice Terry: Res lved~ That Harold D, Price as Superintendent of H~ghwavs ~s hereby authorized and directed or to ha~e prepared, upon prescribed by the S~Derintendent of Public Works cf the S~ei of New York a statement to ~e si~e~d ~nd verified by 'him merit, whzch s~atement shall include only expenditures for ~n~w ~on- trol on public ways within the boundaries of Southold Town d~ri~g the periods mentioned in subdivision (i) and (2) of Section 2 of such Chapter (0hap. 4?3 of the Laws of 19~5~ for the following items ex- clusively: (1) labor costs exclusive of the salaries or wages of persons regularly employed for municipal purposes, but payments for overtime work on ~ngw control by such regularly employed persons may be ~in¢luded~ ~2~ rental of hired equipment other tha~new equip- merit rented from manufacturers or dealers~ ~3~ motor lubricating oils and greases; (4) costs of erecting aBd d%sma~tling snow fenees~ and (5) sand and cb~orideo .~ Unanimously- adop ted. Moved by Justice Terry; seconded by Jusbice Kl~p~:~ R~solved: That the ~own Board authorize the Supervisor a corm?tree to have the necessary repairs be made on the lng to the Sound Beach at Hortons Point~ ~outhold, ~o¢~ky East ~ion, Sound Road, Greenport~ ~o have m~de on ~he Town owned buildings at the Town Beach.
