A Special Meeting of the SOUTHOLD TOWN ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
was held at the Southold Town Annex (NFB) Building, Executive Board Room, Second
Floor, 54375 Main Road, Southold, New York 11971-0959, on Thursday, March 13,
2008 commencing at 4:00 P.M.
Present were:
Gerard P. Goehringer, Chairman/Member
Ruth D. Oliva, Member
Michael A. Simon, Member
Leslie Kanes Weisman, Member
Linda Kowalski, ZBA Confidential Secretary
Absent: James Dinizio, Member
4:13 P.M. Chairman Goehringer called the meeting to order and proceeded, as
follows:
STATE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY REVIEW reminder for Agencv comments:
Coordination to ZBA by Lead Agency (Planning Board).
HARBES FAMILY FARM, LLC #6106.
DELIBERATIONS/DECISIONS: The Board deliberated on the following
applications. The originals of each of the following applications were decided, with
the original determinations flied with the Southold Town Clerk:

RESOLUTIONSfUPDATED REVIEWS/OTHER:
A. 2/28/08 HEARING REOPENED and CALENDARED for 3/27/08: ZBA #6103
by DONALD and JANIS ROSE. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion was offered
by Member Weisman, seconded by Member Oliva, to reopen the public hearing
and advertise same to be held on March 27, 2008, for questions by Board
Members regarding 2/28/08 testimony related to applicant's woodworking
activities. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Member Goehringer (Chairman), Oliva,
Simon and Weisman. This Resolution was duly adopted (4-0). Member Dinizio
was absent.
B. 2/28/08 HEARING REOPENED and CALENDARED FOR 3/27108: ZBA#
6126 by DAVID FISHER. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion was offered by
Member Weisman, seconded by Member Oliva, to reopen the public hearing
based on the March 3, 2008 submissions by applicant, and authorizing
advertising for the March 27, 2008 public hearing calendar. Vote of the Board:
Ayes: Member Goehringer (Chairman), Oliva, Simon and Weisman. This
Resolution was duly adopted (4-0). Member Dinizio was absent.
C. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion was offered by Member Goehringer
(Chairman), seconded by Member Weisman, and duly carried, to accept and
authorize filing of Minutes with the Town Clerk's Office, as prepared for ZBA
Meetings held February 28, 2008. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Member Goehringer
(Chairman), Oliva, Simon and Weisman. This Resolution was duly adopted (4-0).

D. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion was offered by Member (Chairman)
Goehringer, seconded by Member Oliva, to set the date of next Special Meeting
for April 10, 2008 at 6:00 PM at the Annex, NFB Building Main Road and
Youngs Avenue, 2nd Floor Executive Board Room, Southold. Vote of the Board:
Ayes: Member Goehringer, (Chairman), Oliva, Simon, Weisman. This Resolution
was duly adopted (4-0). Member Dinizio was absent.
E. Other items continued from above Agenda, also other/inspections or updates
on:
LWRP Committee (no update)
Planning & Zoning Committee (no update)
Zonin!i: Code Committee update: ZBA Members confirmed attendance
today at the Town Board Code Committee and went over some of the
general items buildings with certificates of appropriateness, possible
dormer definition, and overlapping jurisdiction with the Trustees on
bluff setback applications.
Natural Resources Department Proposal: Chairman Goehringer and
Member Weisman offered comments for use Monday when drafting a
Memo for a reply to the Supervisor and Town Board's request for
comments.
EXECUTIVE SESSION (None held).
There being no other business properly coming before the Board at this time,
Chairman Goehringer declared the meeting adjourned. The meeting was adjourned
at 5:30 P.M.
