CERTIFICATE OF TOWN CLERK
I, Elizabeth A. Neville, Town Clerk of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New
York, HEREBY CERTIFY that within seventy-two (72) hours after the Special Election of the
qualified voters of the Cutchogue Fire District, in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New
York, held on March 25, 2008, the Certificate of Election Inspectors, executed by the Chairman,
each Election Inspector and each Ballot Clerk, showing the results of the canvass of votes on the
Proposition submitted to the qualified voters at said Special Election, a full and complete copy of
which is annexed hereto and made a part hereof, was filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the
Town of Southold.

I, MATTHEW J. MARTIN, Fire District Secretary of the Cutchogue Fire District,
in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, HEREBY CERTIFY that I have compared
the annexed copy of the Certificate of Election Inspectors as to the results of the voting at the
Special Election du1y called and held in said Fire District on March 25, 2008, with the original
thereof, which was filed with the Board of Fire Commissioners in my office as Fire District
Secretary, following said Special Election, and the same is a true copy of said original Certificate
and of the whole thereof so far as the same relates to the vote on the Proposition submitted at
such Special Election.

SUFFOLK COUNTY. NEW YORK
CANVASS OF VOTES ON THE PROPOSITION SUBMITTED AT THE
SPECIAL ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 25. 2008
WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, being the Chairman, Election Inspectors and Ballot
Clerks at the Special Election of the qualified voters of the Cutchogue Fire District, in the Town
of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, held at the Cutchogue Fire House, 260 New Suffolk
Road, Cutchogue, New York, in said Fire District, on March 25, 2008, between the hours of3:00
o'clock P.M. (Prevailing Time) and 9:00 o'clock P.M. (prevailing Time), to vote upon the
Proposition contained in the ballot label used at said Special Election, HEREBY CERTIFY that
prior to said Special Election we duly took and filed our oaths of office as required by law, and
we were otherwise duly qualified to act as Chairman, Inspectors of Election and Ballot Clerks;

were delivered to us in a sealed envelope, which envelope was not opened
until at least one Inspector was present; that before opening said envelope we examined the
Curtain Levers of said machines and found them sealed against movement by a metal seal on

numbers we also found written on the envelope in which the keys were delivered to us. We also

. We also examined the ballot label on the face of each machine, a true and
complete copy of which is annexed hereto and made a part hereof, and found each to be correctly
placed thereon. In addition, prior to the opening of the polls, we examined every Counter in the
machines and found that each registered (000) and we examined the Public Counters and found
that they registered (000); that during the examination and until the opening of the polls, the
machines remained locked and sealed against operation and no Inspector or any other person
touched the interior of the machines or any of their mechanisms; that we conducted the voting at
said Special Election in all respects in the manner required by the law; that all persons who were
qualified and who presented themselves at the polls between 3:00 o'clock P.M. (Prevailing
Time) and 9:00 o'clock P.M. (Prevailing Time) on said day were permitted to vote; that at 9:00
o'clock P.M. (Prevailing Time) the doors of said polling place were closed and only such
qualified voters as were then within the polling place were permitted to vote thereafter; that a
Poll List containing the names and addresses of all persons voting was kept by us and that
immediately upon the close of the polls, we found that the Protective Counters registered

that one Inspector, under
the scrutiny of another Inspector, announced the vote as shown on the Counters of each machine,
and the same was written down on the Certificates of Canvass by other Inspectors; that after the
vote was announced and written down, the Certificates of Canvass were compared with the
Counters in the machines and found to agree; that the total number of votes as shown by the
Public Counters was:

of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, entitled: "BOND
RESOLUTION OF THE CUTCHOGUE FIRE DISTRICT, IN THE
TOWN OF SOUTHOLD, SUFFOLK COUNTY, NEW YORK,
ADOPTED FEBRUARY 18, 2008, AUTHORIZING THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW FIREHOUSE FACILITY FOR
THE CUTCHOGUE FIRE DISTRICT, IN THE TOWN OF
SOUTHOLD, SUFFOLK COUNTY, NEW YORK, ON FIRE
DISTRICT PROPERTY LOCATED AT 5455 COX LANE,
CUTCHOGUE, NEW YORK; STATING THE ESTIMATED
MAXIMUM COST THEREOF IS $7,980,000; APPROPRIATING
SAID AMOUNT THEREFOR, INCLUDING THE
EXPENDITURE OF $700,000 FROM THE CAPITAL RESERVE
