The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The Treasurer's Report was read and approved: Budget Account Gravel Account Reserve Fund $31.986.05 5,348.38 6,661.38 $43.995.81 The following bills were approved for p~nt: R & S Hardware Gen. $ 10.30 Stype " 56.00 Academ;y Printing " 56.25 C. Wickham " 750.00 G.L.Penny " 19.32 Ruland " 147.50 N.Y.Telephone " 55.09 L.I.Light " 120.18 Mr. Reeve reported looking at rocks at the Scouters' Lodge. This is still under consideration. Mr. Murphy is to take care of placing the three sections of new bleachers which have arrived. He will place them at the various park sites. Mr. Bergen reported that Mr. Dean has filled some of the holes in the road at the foot of Love Lane. When warmer weather comes, more work will be done by Mr. Dean. e The secretary read two letters (one of which came certified mail return receipt requested) received f'rom Mr. James Barrett requesting information on bidding for all concessions of the Mattituck Park District. . e e The'secretary read a letter from Nick Cyprus about bidding on the concession for the "green house" for the summer of 1912. . Mr. Murphy suggested the possibility of improving the cOllcessions to make them more appealing for bidding. Mr. Bergen reported a lot of smutty writing on the build- ing at the Bre~a1;er. Mr. Krause was instructed to paint the building to cover up the vandalism done by someone unknown. Mr. Bergen vas to see Mr. 'Lark, the attorney about advertising for bidding on the concessions for the 1912 season. The secretary presented a letter from the state Department of Audit and Control with the approved financial report. Ml;'. Bergen is to take the letter and report to Mr. Lark, the attorney, for publishing in the paper as per Section 35 of the General Municipal Law. Mr. Murphy was to contact Mr. Muir about making arrangements for the life guards for the 1912 season. Mr. Murphy reported having been approached by a num- ber of people about activities for the young and old adults of the District during the winter months. A suggestion of an ice skating rink (man made) was made. Mr. Murphy said he would produce wirtten support by local people. !.fr. Murphy said he would contact some authority to make a study on the feasibility of en ice skating rink at a nominal fee Dot to exceed $450. Mr. Tom Reeve presented the Commissioners with a list of materials needed for repairs to Love Lane Site. A motion was made, seconded and carried to approve the mster1al costs of the repair to the f'loats at the foot of Love Lane. The Commissioners had a discussion on burlkheading to the west of the present bulkhead at Love Lane. Mr. Murphy suggested the Commissioners go down and look. over the situation. A discussion was held on the f'u.ture or the Love L'ane propertY". Mr. Murphy- suggested looking into a study- to determine just what to do with the site as rar as operation ror the 1912 season and ror the f'u.ture.
