Meeting of Board of Comm1ssioners held at COIIIIIl1s-
'sioner Reeve's office with all Commissioners present.
Also present: Mr. and Mrs. Barrett and Mr. Tom Reeve

Sealed bids for operation of the Sound Concession
and Ba;y Concession were opened at 7:50 P.M. Bids for
the above were as follows:
1. Bid of George Grattan, Village Lane, Mattituck
for Contract #2 on Veterans' Memorial Park for $25.05.
Deposit of $75.05 cash enclosed.
2. Bid of Nick Cyprus, 44 Marconi Street, Tenafly,
Nell' Jersey for Contract 61 on Breakwater Beach for
$300. Deposit of $50.00 check enclosed.
3. Bid of Gregory Bullock for Contract #2 on
Veterans' Memorial Park for $121.00. Deposit of
$50.00 check enclosed.

4. Bid of Peconic Sands, Incl for Contract #1
on Breakwater Beach for $402. Deposit of $50. certified
check enclosed.
Bid of Peconic Sands, Inc. for Contract #2
on Veterans I Memorial Park for $102. Deposit of
$50. certified check enclosed.
Bids of Peconic Sands, Inc. signed by James
Barrett, Vice President.
Mr. Bergen advised he would take the bids to Mr.
Lark, attorney, for consideration.
Mr. and I.lrs. Barrett left the meeting.

Mr. Bergen reported the ColIIDIissioners J.ooked over
the property at Love Lane and at the present time
decided no f'urther bulltheading _s necessary.
Mr. Bergen reported tsliting to Mr. Larit about
. advertising for bids on bJ.acktopping a sidewslit to be
const~ted on Love Lane next to the lAve Lane Shop.
Mr's. Bariter, owner of the Love Lane Shop, agrees to same.
The concessions were discussed. The buiJ.dings have
to be painted. The ColllDlissioners wiJ.J. J.ook into having
boys who are hired by the Park District to poJ.ice the
beaches for parking stickers do this work.
Mr'. Bergen reported having had inquiries about
the Bq Avenue site. ColIIDIissioners Murphy stated that
a ba.lJ. diamond is being cut out for an overfiow of LittJ.e
League teams. The ColIIDIissioners will go down and J.ook
over the site as to whether a fence is needed for the
ba.lJ. fieJ.d to keep it safe for the youngsters.
e The Secretary was instructed to have L.I. Lighting
Company turn on the ba.lJ. park sUe J.ights and turn off
the Wolf Pit Lake site.
Mr'. Bergen reported that work is being done on the
fioats at the Love Lane Site.
The SecretB:l"Y' reported no word had been received
f'rom the New York state Department 01' Conservation in
.regard to the letter sent asking 1'or in1'ormation on
the pumping station requirements.

The Commissioners reported instructing Mr. Krause
to install the gate at the entrance to the Breakwater
Site property.
Mr. Bergen reported that Mr. Suter had been in
touch with him and said that the 1'ence to the Breakwater
Site is own Town property. Mr. Murphy stated that the
1'ence is not on Town Property according to a survey by
Mr. Van Tuyl.
Mr. Murphy reported that Dan O'Connell, a Civil
Engineer wUl do some work 1'or the District on the ice
skating rink survey..

Mr. Murphy suggested contacting Mrs. Schwicker about
the property on Marratooka Lake. I1' she would consider
selling it the Commissioners stated they could have a
clause in the deed that she could have life use 01' the
property should she have to move !'rom her present
location. Mr. Reeve is to contact her.
Mr. Reeve stated that he had written to Mr. Kop1'
about meeting with him regarding the North Fork Wrecking
Company property and he replied that he would be doing
nothing 1'or at least two years but would be in touch
with the District at that time.
Mr. Murphy reported that Bob Muir has a number 01'
YOlBlg adults lined up 1'or li1'e guards 1'or the 1972
season .
Mr. Murphy is to look into a price 1'or fibre glass
tables and benches 1'or the park sites.

Mr. Reeve suggested getting three mak park type
benches 1'or the Veterans' Memorial Park site.
